Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine
I allowed non-signature applications per your advice and will report if it works. How safe is it to update to the latest DVR? Known bugs? I wouldn't lose any scheduled tasks, would I? EDIT: Can I downgrade DVR engine if needed? With the 1.0.x installers the engine is fetched from SD on start.. so t...

Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine
Hi all, I've been using the engine for an year without any issues. I "upgraded" QNAP's OS to 4.5.1.1540 yesterday and now the engine stops abruptly. If I start it manually it works for a while and then it stops again. The event log says: I don't use the latest versions if that matters: Wh...

Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine
It's probably more of a QNAP issue, but you somebody might know the answer: I have a dedicated QNAP to record ... Do you have network recycle bin turned on on your NAS? You might just need to empty that. I was not sure if you were sarcastic so I decided to check it and what'd ya know - there is Net...

Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine
It's probably more of a QNAP issue, but you somebody might know the answer: I have a dedicated QNAP to record from HDHR CONNECT. I don't have any complaints about the setup, but decided to delete two of the shows I had recorded. Total of more than 200GB. I deleted both their folders from a Windows c...

Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine
I assume SiliconDust use your IP to put a new device (tuner, NAS etc) on the same account. NAS doesn't really matter - as you say it registers the IP, but tuners, clients will query servers and do discovery to connect. Key is to register the tuners.. then everything else happens behind the scenes. ...

Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine
Do you mean this from my.hdhomerun.com: https://i.imgur.com/GvikPDI.png I have noticed that recently the HDHR-DVRUI web package (0.8.6) no longer renders properly from qnap (it does from a synology). the data is there, the page loads, but the background is white and tables are not well formed. ie, i...

Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine
I apologize - yes, by manual I meant manually install the QPKG. Thank you for your reply, that answers my concerns 100%. I was not sure if there is anything else to take care of, but to sum it up for the others that might need it that's what I've done: Transferring QNAP HDHomeRun DVR Manager from on...

Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine
Great!
Perfect timing, I just received my new HDHomeRun/Plex dedicated QNAP.
I used the manual method to install the Recording Engine on both the old and the new QNAP. How do I uninstall or maybe at least disable auto-starting on the old NAS?
Thanks
