Re: HDHR3-CC Dying?

Faulty Power Supply. If you check it with meter it only tells you the voltage is good. If its bad, then when you plug it in the amps go up and the voltage goes down. I would try another power supply that is 5 volts and 3 amps.

Re: Bizarre behavior on network

Make sure all devices and computer are on the same subnet. Since I can't find any way to change the fact the SD tuners are DHCP how could it be anything different? I have only one DHCP server and it is all one network. I can go to the specific IP of each of them and see them no problem at all. Is t...

Re: Bizarre behavior on network

I have both a HDHomeRun Connect and a Dual. Both are running the most up to date firmware 20200220. I use my tuners and have for a few years as a DVR tuner for Plex. I am watching live TV in the HDHomerun app right now. However, neither tuner shows up on the http://my.hdhomerun.com portal. Oddly I ...

Re: HDHR3-US Stuck in a loop?

Thanks 3ton! That seemed to do the trick. (I did it slightly different for reference; I just blocked internet access for the HDHR3 at the router instead of disrupting internet for the household  ) It works either way. Its nothing you did. Something happened years ago with the older firmware ...

Re: HDHR3-US Stuck in a loop?

Install the latest Hdhomerun setup program on your computer. Disconnect the internet from your router. Then turn on the old device. Wait awhile and see if the tuner will stop rebooting. The lights should eventually stop blinking. Then run the HDhomerun setup program. It should then upgrade firmware ...

Make sure hard drive where you record tv is good. Also remove all media libraries for wmc and window media player. Add them back one at time and see if it fixes.

Re: HDHR4-US Tuner Coax Connection Problem

I guess just be prepared for it not to work. There is some differences in the tuners for the original connect and the new duo or quarto but most do not notice it. The newer connect is supposed to be better but some like the old better. I have never noticed a difference. But I do not watch anything b...

Re: HDHR4-US Tuner Coax Connection Problem

The only way is to unsolder the shield plate. But if it was me just leave it alone. Unless your some kind of expert with expert tools, you will most likely make it worse. Your best bet is to see if SD will look at it. If not or shipping is too much just buy refrub one for 45.

Same problem on a extend and tried to resolder and I screwed it up more. Could never get it back to where it was. Had to trash the extend.

Re: HDHomeRun F/W 20200225 - Windows Media Center very slow to find tuner

I have no idea if this might be your problem, but make sure the network settings in the computer has not changed. I have had problems where I changed my router settings and then the computer switch from private (home) lan to a public lan and it causes havoc everywhere.

Re: Media Centre too sensitive

You might want to add the device id of the tuner to this post and see if Silicondust can look at the tuner and see if you have any tuner problems. Also really look at the network.
