Re: FireTV 4k max vs FireTV 4k quality difference
Can you go into detail? We have put a lot of work into Apple TV over the last 6 months. The next big feature nearing release for Apple TV 4K is 1080i60 -> 1080p60 deinterlacing. [/quote] I just felt the app lacked polish compared to other Apple apps. Picture quality wasn't quite as good. And the app...

Re: FireTV 4k max vs FireTV 4k quality difference
It seems every update to Fire devices changes the firmware, and what used to decode well is now a stop-motion mess. This has been the state of Amazon's development for nearly a decade. Perhaps after they drop their sad and butchered Android fork for their own (presumably Tizen-like) OS, things will...

Re: FireTV 4k max vs FireTV 4k quality difference
Ah, that's what it is and what I figured. The app used to have a video option but it was removed in the latest builds. Probably because of my complaining haha. I wonder if the newer FireTV versions have the same problem. Anyone know?

FireTV 4k max vs FireTV 4k quality difference
What is up with the FireTV 4k Max (2021) hardware that makes the video quality worse than the regular FireTV 4k (1st edition)? I have both. And the video quality on the max is worse than my 4k stick. It's also worse than my TV's Google TV and my Onn 4k stick. I have a 65Tv and I notice the differenc...

Re: Encryption
I would say this is the do or die moment. After having the 4k fkex for a year now, and a year of promises by SD of being able at some point to update it via firmware to decrypt, if it can't do it after having all the specifications it will either be able to do it or not. If not, well they are going ...

Re: Encryption
I just looked at my Amazon Receipt for my 4k flex. Purchased March 9, 2023. Almost a year now with no solution for DRM.

WKMG 106.1 Orlando black screen
Since yesterday all I get from this channel is a black screen. I can't tell if they switched to DRM because I get no message from HD homerun app. Just a black screen. Any recording shows just a black screen but it recorded. No way to contact the channel by phone. Anyone else?

Re: HDHomeRun 4K is Nextgen TV Certified
As long as you let us continue to use the HDhomerun app, then I don't care about all of this. However if we are forced to use the Freecast app, I'll be really peeved cuz that's not what I purchased. The hardware is pretty app agnostic -- I use my HDHR devices with Plex and Channels so I think you h...

Re: HDHomeRun 4K is Nextgen TV Certified
I'm jumping the gun here but looking at the Freecast service, it seems they are going to have a monthly fee. Wonder how that's going to play out with all the purchasers who don't have the DVR service. I have the $35 yearly DVR subscription and if that changes to a $4.99 monthly fee, I'm gonna be ser...
