Re: 20210104 - Skip Forward/Back freezes video - Nvidia Shield & Android
On Sony Android TV, the new app records and save files with mpg extension, just as before. Capturing segments via http using a browser saves with mpeg extension. Otherwise the Android app on the TV exhibit the same problem as the Shield when trying to rewind or fast forward.

Re: 24 Dec 2020
Updated. Please exit and run the HDHomeRun app again to get audio. Nick I had to force stop the app under the TV's settings, after that, I was able to get audio on all ATSC 3.0 channels. All but 1 channel has audio sync problems. I can pause and play and the video continues were it was pause, but u...

Re: 24 Dec 2020
Installed latest firmware, and updated to today's Android app on Sony X900H. Can now view all HEVC channels, including the ones with 2 PLPs. However, AC-4 audio is still missing on all.

Re: 24 Dec 2020
Did firmware update, and on Iphone 11 Pro, ATSC 3.0 broadcasting with 1 PLP (QAM64), the video with 1080i, 720p, and 1080p are displayed correctly, but the audio is not in sync, needs about 200 ms additional delay on all. Here in Mobile, AL, we have RF27 transmitting 3 virtual ATSC 3.0 broadcasts wi...

Re: HDHomeRun App - Android / FireTV (20201226)
Also, was this updated app suppose to separate ATSC 3.0 and ATSC 1.0 streams? Allowing user to select one or the other?

HDHomeRun App - Android / FireTV (20201226)
Installed on Sony X900F and X900H TVs, and selecting a program to watch from the Discover tab does not get you choice to "watch now". Have to go to "Live" then change channels there.

Re: AC-4 Audio?
Denver just got the updated channels yesterday and of course neither my Sony X900H or my Tivo Stream 4k can play the sound. My Sony has an ATSC 3.0 tuner inside, but that is coming with a future update. Guessing the AC-4 support will not come until that update, hopefully I am wrong. If the Sony X90...

Re: Color space test #1
On Sony Android TV, 65X900H, I found adjusting the local dimming (LD) control had an impact on when you can see the flashing bars for white. Setting the LD on high, flashing bars were seen below 233, and above 17. When LD was set to off, flashing below 236 and above 17.

Trying to Understand HDHR System Log
I've been having problems with HDHomeRun streaming to my new Sony Android TV X900H. I would get communication error every few minutes, at times exactly in 5 minutes interval. So to troubleshoot the problem I have disconnected all devices from my router and cleared the device list. Then I plan on con...

Re: AC-4 Audio?
Well the new Roku 4 ultra does not play audio on the 3.0 streams yet like several have stated unfortunately. It's a nice player though for cheap and it seems to do a nice job playing back Dolby Vision on anything HDR unless you turn the always on setting off. My TV even shows a Dolby Vision symbol ...

Re: AC-4 Audio?
Well I just ordered a new a new Roku Ultra from Amazon for 69 bucks today just before I headed out for Thanksgiving dinner. Yes my TCL supports Roku, I already have a Ultra and a 2018 Shield but who knows if any of these will ever get the update. I have a toy money debit card account and a 160 some...

Re: Roku Ultra 2020 - DVR playback is wrong aspect ratio for SD
I got a new Roku Ultra 2020. I also have a Roku Ultra 2019 and Streaming Stick + in my house. I have the HDHomeRun SCRIBE QUATRO Model: HDVR-4US-1T It works great with everything for live TV. All devices. The older Rokus are playing back DVR files as they always have. The new Roku Ultra 2020 has is...

Re: 8 Nov 2020
On the new 2020 Ultra and the "Reno" series 4K Roku TVs (higher-end TVs since mid-2019), there's support for both HEVC and AC-4. However, the media player doesn't deal well with the underruns that come from OTA content, and it's going to be difficult for a Brightscript app to implement support for ...

Re: AC-4 Audio?
The MP4 files were from https://ott.dolby.com and are definitely AC4, confirmed with MediaInfo. I read Tidal started having audio files in AC4 for streaming but haven't check on that. I'll try to repackage them in another container. Thanks Well - that link isn't an OTT streamer - I thought you mean...
