Re: Antenna recommendations?

It's impossible to recommend an antenna without knowing anything about your location and the stations you're trying to receive. http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=29&q=id%3d9038ba13d7d950 Thanks. And yeah, I think these antennas are pretty crappy for the price paid etc. Seems strange ...

DVR server keeps stopping

I'm having issues having keeping the server running. I start it, and then around 15 minutes later I do a status check and it's not running again. Any logs I can check to find the issue? I've had a look but there's no logs? Edit: Just found this log from now - one thing I'm noticing is the time is ou...

Antenna recommendations?

Hi all, I have installed the Cablecutter Max Silicondust antenna as recommended by SD for the HDHR box. I am at a loss as in clear weather, the picture still breaks up despite the antenna being 40+ feet off the ground. I've been asking, just how high and large does the antenna have to be to get a de...

Re: Unofficial Kodi HDHomeRun DVR PVR Client

Kind words are my currency. Saying "awesome" is payment enough -- you are quite welcome! Besides, this way I still have "you get what you pay for" in my back pocket as an excuse for whatever horrible defect I accidentally introduce next :) Thank you for you hard work! But whilleeeeee I'm here! I'm ...

Re: Unofficial Kodi HDHomeRun DVR PVR Client

NOTE: As a rule, I do not accept donations. I deeply appreciate the offer, but it's reward enough for me to have so many people getting use out of the project. I've got a day job; this is a hobby  Just upgraded my OSMC after months of avoiding it as it usually breaks stuff. All PVRs broke,...

Re: Signal strong enough?

If you live in Greensboro and using a preamp and a long distance antenna. To much amplifying will kill signal. I bunny ear on the tv in greensboro should be enough. Omni antenna be best bet. I used to live 80 miles south of greensboro and have to use a lava antenna 30ft on the roof to get greensbor...

Re: Signal strong enough?

You need to add a homemade reflector behind it. You can make it out of cheap fencing and PVC like I did. Ping me Friday afternoon original Saturday morning. I will help you through this I will try but my work schedule is a bit all over the place the next week or so. Also, do you have a picture of t...

Re: Signal strong enough?

Nah, any alternate station isn't necessary to really try and get unless they do some very different programming. The issue is with stations like WTVD that are in the strongest category are often totally broken up. There's also a local channel transmitting literally about 4 miles away that I've never...

Re: Signal strong enough?

Hi all, I'm running out of ideas with this thing. I installed the CM-7777 preamp by the antenna and separate powered splitter thing right before the HDHR box. This made the signal so bad it found absolutely no channels. Had to take out the preamp/powered splitter, and just run the antenna directly f...

Re: Running DVR from Raspberry Pi and NAS HDD

Aaah yes, you're right. I installed the new one, it crashed the Kodi as soon as I selected to install from this .zip. but strangely I rebooted it and it seems to work fine. Thanks!

Re: Running DVR from Raspberry Pi and NAS HDD

The official HDHomeRun add-on doesn't work with the native Kodi interface. Everything is inside the HDHomeRun add-on. To use the native "TV" section of the Kodi interface you can install djp952's PVR client. The Kodi interface works well with the live TV itself and the guide. Just won't work with t...

Re: Running DVR from Raspberry Pi and NAS HDD

What PVR add-on are you using?
The HDHR official one, which I'm assuming is the only one that would work with the HDHR box?

Re: Running DVR from Raspberry Pi and NAS HDD

Thanks for the replies everyone. I have got the NAS drive working on the RPi3 it seems. Some recordings I have set last night have worked, but they only show up in the green HDHR app, not the Kodi interface itself (under 'recordings'). Is there a way in which I can sync the recordings into the inter...

Signal strong enough?

Hi all, The weather in this part of NC is slightly overcast as storms due later, but I'm wondering if this signal strength is good for these conditions and does it seem to be too weak for the bad weather we'll probably get over the summer? Virtual Channel 2.1 WFMY HD Frequency 695.000 MHz Program Nu...
