Each viewing client makes its own connections to the HDHomeRun and to the DVR, so it's possible for one viewing client to have live TV without DVR. What are you using as the DVR? A FLEX with USB drive, a NAS, a PC or Mac, etc?

There were three scans in your diagnostic data, and the first two showed fairly weak signal. The third and most recent scan shows very healthy signal level. Did you change/fix something on your side, and are you getting better reception now?

Changing the e-mail address will change the DVR key. I have e-mailed you your new DVR key.

Did you try scanning from the web UI (assuming you tried from the app?) and make sure that "Cable TV" was selected from the drop-down menu? http://15204D0F.local

Doing a search for "HDHomeRun" should show the Amazon app store page with an option to update. If not, uninstalling the app and reinstalling it should also give you the most recent version.

Try with both and see what happens.

It sounds like you have also installed the DVR software on a Mac or PC, and need to uninstall it from there if you wish to only use the USB hard drive on the Flex.

The USB port should safely give about 1 amp of power.
