Re: iOS and Android apps don't work

The guide data server hasn't seen your unit since the 9th, but the HDHomeRun should check in for new guide data a few times a day. FYI, I upgraded the firmware to 20210210 at ~03:40 UTC on May 9th. Before that the tuner had been running very old firmware, most likely 20180817. I had to manually re-...

The CDN servers might still be updating for everyone.

Re: Hide Detected Channels

Is there anyway to tell the homerun extend to itself to ignore certain channels? I have translators that are very weak and with my luck it always finds the week translator and I get a lot of bad pixelation. I use the tuner with Plex and channels app iOS If they have the same virtual channel number,...

Re: Windows 10 app issue

Our apologies, I'm not sure why the ticket was closed before. I have seen this issue before and will see what I can find out. The HDHomeRun app's UI is rendered using the web browser engine built into Windows, so it's possible for certain software to affect the "zoom" and make everything look huge.

Re: iOS and Android apps don't work

That's very strange. Something is interrupting communication between the HDHomeRun and our servers. The guide data server hasn't seen your unit since the 9th, but the HDHomeRun should check in for new guide data a few times a day. If it was some kind of security software or ad-blocker, I would expec...

Re: Windows app - sound, no video

Swapped out my old HDHomeRun for the new ATSC 3 box and updated the firmware. Did a channel scan. Everything is fine on my Apple TV (I don't think I have any ATSC3 signal in Indy yet). On Windows 10 I get a message saying this system can't play the mpeg2 signal required. I do get audio but no video...

Re: Sony Channel and others - Missing Guide Data

Thanks Kyl416!

Craft/Hochanda added. I will keep checking GB News every so often to see when they start sending data.

Re: Sony Channel and others - Missing Guide Data

Got all of them except Craft Store, YAAAS, and GB News. Looking into those three and will try to get them fixed soon.

Re: No Internet, No App????

Ned, you are being disingenuous here. The whole point of this thread is not that the HDHR hardware is unusable without a current internet connection. The point of this thread is that SiliconDust's first-party HDHR SOFTWARE is unusable without an active internet connection. We are all aware that the...

Re: Does SD make a tuner with transcoder?

At the moment we do not have a product with built-in transcoding. If you are not using our DVR service, Plex, Emby, and Jellyfin are options that can be set up on a mini PC or certain NAS models that will transcode on-the-fly. The Nvidia Shield Pro can also transcode-record on-the-fly with a USB har...

Re: Signal Issues

Signals don't look too strong. If anything, they're a bit weak. Red line is signal strength, how "loud" a signal is Blue line is signal quality, or how "clear" the data can be heard X is signal frequency, Y is percentage Each blue line or red spike is most likely a transmission at a given frequency ...
