It's most likely a bad card, and Comcast likes to use old cards in circulation, so it's not uncommon to have multiple bad cablecards in a row. Keep asking for different cards.

We had one model that had on-device transcoding, but the FLEX and CONNECT models don't have that feature. Any transcoding would he from the Plex server itself.

You can force check for updates: Go to the Roku home screen, highlight the HDHomeRun icon but don't select it, instead press the * button and force it to update.

It's a bug in the update that went out yesterday. The dev team is working to fix it ASAP.

First up will be date-based trimming options. A number limit is going to be a little harder due to how the DVR works with multiple storage instances. Gotta get a little creative for how to handle that on the back end.
