Re: Missing channels...

I'm all mixed up in the logs I'm looking at. Sorry about that. Looking at your latest scan, it looks really good. Though I do wonder if the splitters are really just acting as filters, blocking out some of the bad interference. Normal HDHomeRuns apparently don't show much of anything in the system l...

Re: Currently only works on Iphone

On the Sony Android TV, while in the HDHomeRun app, press the play/pause button 13 times or until you see a menu pop up. In this menu there should be the option to disable "AC3 audio" or something to that extent. Try disabling the AC3 audio and see if that helps anything.

Re: Shield Deal

SlickDeals and a few reddit posts have been comparing notes on this deal. A lot of people who ordered are getting shipping notifications that show different shipping origins. It's going to be interesting to find out what happens.

Re: Missing channels...

I don't think the splitters are helping at this point. I think that idea turned out to be a dead end.

Re: Missing channels...

Now that I'm a little bit more awake, looking at your scans again, I'm wondering if this isn't more of an interference issue. It could be interference being picked up by the antenna, or even interference being picked up by the HDHomeRun unit itself being too close to something. I can see where you'v...

Re: Missing channels...

"US" is normal, as all of North America uses that model (and maybe Japan? Something like that). Can you tell me what kind of antenna you are using? Does it have a signal amplifier? The scans show signals that might be too strong for the HDHomeRun. Built-in TV tuners tend to be a little more tolerant...

Re: Last releases and Android & Android TV

The recording is not activated on the mac But you do have that "HDHomeRun" folder in the Users folder? I launched the uninstall script and everything is back in order. Can you explain to me what was happening so that the presence on the mac of this directory PVR prevents Android customers from work...

Re: Shield Deal

I would be very skeptical of this deal. It's not uncommon for scammers to hijack semi-inactive Amazon market place accounts (note that this is only offered from a third party) to try and get some money out of people. The account has only had two user reviews in the last month, and one of them warns ...

Do you have a Mac on the network that has an "HDHomeRun" user in your Users folder (on your main hard drive)?

Re: HDHomerun not detected on Amazon HDHomerun app

That router has the option for a segregated guest wifi network. I would check to see if that is enabled, as it creates a subnetwork for wifi and won't allow communications between those devices and wired devices. I've even seen an occasional router segregate the wifi network as a bug, and a reboot o...

Re: Last releases and Android & Android TV

There's definitely recording software enabled on a Windows PC on your network. If you have ever used the HDHomeRun Setup application on a Windows PC, check to see if anything is enabled under the "DVR" tab.

Re: Extend, Mac, no router, no NAS

I want to use an HDHomeRun Extend in my RV. What's unusual about RV use is that the WAN is WiFi, either the campground WiFi or WiFi from a wireless hotspot (sometimes called a Jetpack or MiFi). What I have in mind: a 2018 Macbook Pro running macOS 10.14 Mojave. The Mac is connected via a Thunderbol...
