Re: Internet down and HDHomerun App on Android TV OS not working

It depends on how recently the app was open last. It won't work at all without guide data for the current time the app is open. In that case you would need to use something like Live Channels on Android TV, or anything that can open a UPnP AV video source (VLC, Kodi, etc).

Do you get any errors from other apps like Netflix or Hulu?

Re: Couple issues

Thanks for the info! I cannot find a way to display or select a trash can, like I said before everything is a checkmark with no way to change it. Hopefully SD can chime in. There might be a bug we need to investigate then. The other way you can de-link the "offline" tuners is to just re-run the act...

Re: How to watch scribe recorded shows on TV

The SCRIBE is meant to work with the HDHomeRun app, not with DLNA or third party apps (though those are options that could come to fruition in the future, but it's not something I can guarantee). That being said... Exposing the recordings with DLNA is an neat idea, as an AV nerd I love whenever we c...

Re: Can't access HD Homerun on wifi (google fiber + eero)

How is everything hooked up networking wise? It sounds like you probably have a situation where there are two routers creating two separate sub-networks, one within the other. If everything is hooked up to the same router, both wired and wireless, you should be all clear. Eero probably has a bridge ...

Re: Powerline adapter for HDHR5-4US?

That's too bad. Powerline adapters are great when they work, but some older homes and certain situations lead to wiring that they don't work well with. I normally like to urge people towards wired options, but a good wifi bridge with a good router, in an area without a lot of overlapping home networ...

Re: 20190814 when I start a recording it skips through it and won't stop (!!)

Some RF/bluetooth remotes, and even some of the IR with USB IR receivers that appear as "keyboards" to the system, will send two codes, one for "button pressed" and one for "button released". I've seen cheaper ones that have weak signal issues, and it would be common for the receiving unit to think ...

Re: DVR Renewal Charge

NedS, I didn't receive a reply to the email, so maybe no ticket was created? I can PM you my order details, if that would help... Check your spam folder. There are a few e-mail providers that are a little too sensitive on their spam filters, and for some reason we trigger some of them fairly often ...

Re: Typeerror windows error

Go into the settings and disable the "access to early features" box.

On Windows: move your mouse to the top-left corner and click on the hamburger stack icon that appears.

On Mac: In the menu bar at the top of the screen, click the HDHomeRun menu and select Preferences.

Re: PS3 dlna no longer working

Sometimes UPnP-AV/DLNA can be finicky. Try rebooting your router and seeing if anything changes. Also see if other DLNA clients can see the HDHomeRun, like VLC on a PC.

Re: Stream breaks, blk screen-unable to play

It seems to think that the video stream ended, according to the logs. Maybe something is wrong with the live TV buffer feature of the DVR, or some aspect of the video stream caused the video player to think the stream had ended when it had not. I shall ask the smart people (devs) when they are worki...

Re: XBox S - play/pause doesn't work on remote

I'm not sure what the full story is on this, but apparently it's some kind of odd ongoing issue where every so often the playback controls stop working on Xbox One and/or Windows. Thankfully, we're doubling down on testing for the Xbox One and should hopefully catch these issues more often before th...

Hi, I was billed for my first year of DVR service, but I should have been able to use my Kickstarter credit. Please let me know how to do this. I emailed you when I got the receipt, but haven't heard back. Do you have the ticket number from when you e-mailed us? I can look it up to see what's going...

Re: why was my post removed?

How old was the post? Older posts are automatically pruned by the forum. We try to keep an eye out for useful posts and community guides to mark them so that they don't get pruned, but it's possible we missed it. Auto purge is a horrible policy, especially in forums such as these. SD's reasoning is...
