Re: DVR Active = No

Assuming you're posing from the same IP address that the DVR software is running on, the DVR should still be running. It shows in our server logs as a Windows PC. Is that PC on all the time or does it go to sleep or shutdown from time to time?

Re: HDHomerun App Windows 10 require Internet ?

I believe some offline support was removed for the time being to work on a problem, so that might be related. Offline mode will eventually be restored (if it hasn't already been restored, as I don't recall the full details of the issue being worked on), and there are some ideas for improvements for ...

Re: We've added DVR Playback to Roku

I have a HDHomeRun SCRIBE QUATRO. I just installed the HDHomeRun app from the Roku channel store. When I started the app I got the following message: Update RECORD engine Some of your software is out of date and this channel cannot function fully. Update of software needed for: HDHomeRun SCRIBE QUA...

Re: Firmware Update on very old PRIME

If you are using Windows, download and install the HDHomeRun Setup utility, then open the utility after it installs. Doing so will cause it to look for HDHomeRun tuners on the network and update their firmware: https://download.silicondust.com/hdhomerun/hdhomerun_windows.exe If you are using Mac OS,...

Re: DVR Active = No

I am having the same problem. On my account at website, the license key says unassigned. When I go to myhdhomerun site, it won't detect DVR. On the app, the Active DVR heading says no under settings. None of the shows I've chosen has recorded except for live TV. Oh, I am running Windows 10. Any ass...

Re: Channel # remote entry on Android TV.

It's sending the keyboard enter key instead of "d-pad center", which is what Android TV is normally expecting. I believed it changed with one of the Shield updates. The D-pad center or "OK" doesn't work at all anymore. It inputs T from the on-screen keyboard and I can't change channels. Using the E...

Re: Channel # remote entry on Android TV.

I'm having tons of problems with this as well. I use a Harmony remote with the Shield, which is programmed to enter number keys and the Enter key from a "Windows PC". In the past, I could just hit the numbers and the enter key to switch stations, but after a recent update this no longer works corre...

Re: Question about sporadic playback issues

Temperature looks fine in the diagnostics, never going above 76 Celsius. There are a lot of possible factors at play, from the wifi to the broadcast transmissions, to other activity in the area that might be producing RF signals, etc. Wifi should be easy to rule out by running a temp cable or bringi...

Re: Windows 10 PC as NAS and with DVR app?

The DVR software itself is really lean and will run on just about anything. I've been playing around with it on a Raspberry Pi 4, which has a fraction of the power of your x86-based PC, and it doesn't skip a beat. If anything, the PC might be over-kill, but I come from a time when full home theater ...

Re: CableCARD log error entries?

161-0 message displayed in logs This is not necessarily an error. This is simply how the CableCARD asks for itself to be rebooted, which is often necessary for changes made by the cable provider to take effect. You do not need to call your cable provider, as it is normal to see this when they are w...

We think we have this one fixed. If you haven't already done so, please enable "access to early features" in the HDHomeRun app settings and see if the black screen issue persists.

Re: Update the Prime 6 Status Thread

Another company abandoning California, what a surprise. Not exactly. The main office and wear house are moving, but some operations are still happening in California (at least for the time being), and a lot of us work remotely. For example, I work out of Arizona, unrelated to the HQ move. Some of t...

Re: Repack Rescan

I believe it does a background scan every day and a half, assuming the tuners aren't busy at the time it tries to scan.
