I think I found the correct listing for Confess 33.4, When looking at stations in the bay area I used a sunnyvale zip which was the first zipcode listed when I asked for san jose zip codes and went through what was on at this time, KXTVDT7 which is listed as confess, seems to have the correct ...

If you quit the HDHomeRun app and reopen it then everything should be working again.

Some UI element seems to be rendering above the video. We're looking into it now and will have a fix ASAP. Since this is a UI issue, the fix should be automatic and not require an app update (just a quit app and re-open, once we have it fixed).

Lon.TV and Antenna Man are probably the best resources for this right now. Here are their latest videos on ATSC 3.0 DRM, and I believe you can still submit comments to the FCC proposal they talk about. Some of their older videos might have some examples of what you can say to your representatives ...

It has been able to connect to the internet, so that's good.
Your wifi extenders, are they in "bridge mode"? If not, they are basically isolated little networks, and that would explain why wifi clients are not seeing the HDHomeRun, plugged into the main router.
