Re: Rehosting RECORD storage
Depending on how the drive as added to the Shield, it might be encrypted and unreadable by other devices. I would transfer the files off of the Shield to another location/drive, then reformat the drive, then add the files back once you are set up on the new system. Off hand I'm not sure if you can ...

Re: Switch to turn off ATSC 1 beginning
With this move, the FCC has created a path for local ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC stations to shut down their current free over-the-air (OTA) TV signals and switch to the new ATSC 3.0 standard. This will force millions of Americans to buy a new ATSC 3.0 converter to continue receiving television ...

Re: Encryption
So is this a way to get PBS (and a few other independents) to turn on DRM? Ugggh.
The security certificate is separate from DRM, and a non-DRM channel can have a certificate. The basic idea is that a security certificate is a way to make sure a broadcaster is who they say they are, and not a ...

Re: Tuner or NAS DVR Unit - How to determine which is having issues?
First thing I would try is to update the DVR software on the NAS. It looks like you are running a version from 2021. Run through the installation steps and it will update, keeping all of the old recordings: https://info.hdhomerun.com/info/dvr:nas ... stallation

Re: Not recording network programming
Go to http://hdhomerun.local and see if there is a firmware update. There's a minor bug in the Apple TV app where the firmware notice says "communication error" instead.

Apple TV bug, it's supposed to be showing that a firmware update is available, but it says "communication error" by mistake.
