Re: restricting tuners for the HD APP

Yes, I'd like to see this as a feature as well. I've got the recording engine set up on an suse linux machine, and since I got the kickstarter atsc 3.0 tuner I now have 20 tuners on the network, I've been running emby and hdhomerun, but every once in a while emby will miss a recording. There used t...

IPTV vs. UDP method

My understanding is that there is an older method (UDP) that software uses to access the TV programs on the HDHR tuner, but that method didn't work well on a home network with multiple clients that all are looking for a free tuner. The newer method uses HTTP like IPTV and works from multiple clients...

Turns out it's not an option on my router.

Re: restricting tuners for the HD APP

You could always filter on your router. Set up DHCP reservations for the streaming devices and tuners, and then create a firewall rule that blocks traffic between the streaming devices and a single tuner. Not that much setup, and no wiring changes. I would be interested in more information about th...

Re: restricting tuners for the HD APP

Not possible at this time. I would like to see this become a feature. All the suggestions about putting one HDHR on a separate network segment require a lot of setup and wiring changes. My current solution is to remove the HD app from my FireTV stick and Shield TV. Those will have to use MythTV, Ko...

restricting tuners for the HD APP

I have 2 HDHR tuners on the same network with different IP addresses.

I want to force the HD apps on FireTV stick and Nvidia Shield TV to only use one of these tuners and leave the other alone for Mythtv or TVH.

How can I do that?

I have to reset HDHR Connect sometimes?

I have 2 HDHRs tuners: HDHR4-2US Connect HDHR5-4US Connect Quatro I have a problem where occasionally, the 2 channel Connect will start getting really bad quality on a Mythtv recording. When I check the tuner using the linux hdhomerun_config_gui I see that all channels have poor signal strength and ...
