Re: Encryption
Long time lurker, but had a free moment so thought I'd chime in. I bought an HDHR 4K Flex 4K about 5 months ago. I knew then that it could not decode encrypted channels but in my situation I currently don't care and will patiently wait for the day that it can. Here's my situation... I live in the K...

Re: Encryption
Do we have an ETA when DRM will be enabled? No ETA yet... we have to wait for A3SA to finish and release a spec that can be implemented. Obviously they are dragging their feet, or so it seems. This is in my opinion not only harms the adoption of ATSC 3.0, but this especially harms SiliconDust and i...

Re: Encryption
To me surprise, someone from the engineering department at my local ATSC 3.0 encrypted station responded. They basically said it's the industry standard, contact your device manufacturer for not fully supporting the standard. The station is jumping the gun. As of Feb 2024 there is still no implemen...

Re: Chicago Finally, sadly DRM
Saw this train wreck coming. The broadcasters just can't help themselves, can they? Someday they are going to wonder why their tv ratings are falling off a cliff. Must be the customers fault they aren't watching. If only they just tuned into their programming. (/sarcasm)

Re: Encryption
The A3SA is basically saying "We promise not to drop you into this tank full of piranhas" while demanding that you be dangled above the tank full of piranhas. Seems weird that they would even build the tank full of piranhas if they never intend to use it. "This reminds me of the Russ...

Re: Encryption
This isn't the best news, but not the worst either. As long as SD can get us Android support, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Android support means it'll cost us $20 for each tv if we don't already have an Adroid box or a supported Chromecast already. Ideally it would be better if it just...

Do you have another link that doesn't force you to install a Chrome extension?ebo wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 9:51 am The latest version of Hdhomerun Signal Meter (for Android) is 1.25, dated July 6, 2015. It's available from several sources. I recommend Apkpure:

Re: HDHomeRun 4K is Nextgen TV Certified
Again congratulations! Although the HDHomerun 4K products may not be the first to get NextGen certified for an external tuner, they are the first on the market you can actually buy today. Good job! Nickk if you would like to compile a list of devices that we users can confirm that ATSC 3.0 is workin...
