I was watching a recording and noticed that it didn't automatically skip commercials.

Does the DVR software have commercial detection and, if so, can someone explain where to configure it?

I subscribed to DVR service today and am not getting guide info for local channels. Most national channel guide data is there.

Is this expected behavior?

There are multiple cable providers in my area. Can I choose which cable provider I want to recieve guide info from?
