Re: List of Hardware and Software that Supports Dolby AC-4
Try the latest Windows 10, XBox One, or Apple TV 4K app. We have confirmed an audio issue - fixed on Windows 10, XBox One, and Apple TV 4K. Android and FireTV release will be submitted tomorrow. Nick Hi Nick, Can you provide more details on the "audio fix"? On the latest HDHR app on ATV4K (just dow...

Re: ASTC 3.0 Columbus, Ohio
So will they actually be broadcasting in a higher resolution, or are they just upgrading to the new protocol. Their web site has no details other than they are switching to ASTC 3.0 on Jan 7. So far, none of the cities that have started using ATSC 3.0 have broadcasted in anything higher than 1080i/...

Re: List of Hardware and Software that Supports Dolby AC-4
i have amazon fire cube which supports Dolby Atmos Audio (not just pass through like the stick). my receiver also supports atmos. so shouldn't this work for me with hdhr app on fire cube using hdhr4k hardware? Do you have your FireTV Cube connected directly to your receiver? And then the video out ...

Re: 24 Dec 2020
We have a release in the works for next week. Tuning ATSC 1.0 vs 3.0 channels: We have an ongoing effort to support multiple channels with the same virtual channel number to support user selection between ATSC 1.0 and ATSC 3.0. We want to get everyone up and running now so the pending firmware rele...

Re: ATSC 3.0: Denver
The way it's supposed to currently work with the HDHomeRun app is that if you're tuning an ATSC 3.0 channel, then the HDHR app will use tuner 0 and/or tuner 1. I don't know how the Channels app is deciding which tuner to use but it makes the right decision for me, e.g. I just tuned an ATSC 3.0 chann...

Re: ATSC 3.0: Denver
BTW, from memory, tuner 1 and 2 are the tuners that can do ATSC3. Stations tuned on 3 will be ATSC1. In my system the ATSC3/HEVC/AC4 stations were always tuned on tuner 1 first, then on 2. The tuners are numbered 0-3, so it's actually tuner 0 and 1 that can tune ATSC 3.0; tuners 2 and 3 will ONLY t...

Re: Detroit ATSC 3.0
My Yamaha receiver supports ATMOS and is connected to my TV, fire tv and google tv devices. All successful play through my receiver for everything other than the ATCS 3 channels. Do you know what settings I need to change to enable ATMOS to passthrough? A lot of TVs do not support audio pass-throug...

Re: Detroit ATSC 3.0
iDevices must support ATMOS (e.g. iPhone 11 or newer, iPad Pro). I don't use the other platforms mentioned so I'm not sure if they support AC4 audio (HEVC broadcasts) or not; I do believe that the Windows client (from the Microsoft store?) does. My iPad is 7th Gen. iPhone 8th Gen both play sound on...

Re: Detroit ATSC 3.0
I find it strange that I do not have sound ATSC 3.0 on any device (iPad, Fire TV 4k, Google TV 4k or Windows 10) using the HDHomeRun app but I do get good picture and sound quality from the free Channels app on my iPad. :? iDevices must support ATMOS (e.g. iPhone 11 or newer, iPad Pro). I don't use...

Re: ATSC 3.0 in Austin, Texas
The HDHomeRun app only works on iOS/tvOS devices that support ATMOS (because of licensing).

Re: AC-4 Audio?
Nickk said they will move ATSC 3 to 100+ so plex should work without problem. That'd be nice -- assuming what he originally said no longer applies :) https://forum.silicondust.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=133&t=74778 Tuning ATSC 1.0 vs 3.0 channels: We have an ongoing effort to support multiple channe...
