Re: Missing channels...

I'm no expert by any means, but shouldn't any unused splitter ports be capped?

Absolutely. Forgot to mention that. Thanks for the reminder...

Re: Missing channels - arid

Any suggestions on the type of attenuator to look for to help eliminate the issue? Going to order both that and the LTE filter, but not sure which attenuator I’d be looking for? Just to give you an idea, a 4-way splitter has about 8 dB of loss; a 2-way is about 4 dB. So what you're using now equals...

Re: Missing channels...

Huh? The splitters are the only thing making it work on the HDHR. If I remove the splitters, I only get 10 channels. When I add both splitters, I get 29 channels. Doesn’t make any sense at all though. SD tuners are very sensitive to what's called Tuner Overload. Without getting deep into the RF the...

You should be able to see temperature readouts in the system log, which you can get to by clicking on the Device ID on http://my.hdhomerun.com
Hmmmm. There are no temperature readouts in my system log. are you sure about this?

Re: ces 2019

i was disappointed that the first news from SD out of CES was about yet another piece of hardware - other than the HDHomeRun 6
SD must now hold the industry wide crown for the most 'announced but not available' hardware and software. Too many to easily list. Such a shame... :(

Re: New Quatro vs old Connect channel tuning issue

The first thing is the 4 tuner unit is at a 3 dB disadvantage because it contains a 4-way split vs. a 2-way split in the 2 tuner unit. SD may have made up for that loss in the design of the quatro. Perhaps someone from SD will chime in with receiver sensitivity specs for 4 tuner and 2 tuner units.

Re: Lineup Requests for Premium TV

I like the channel lineup just as it is, at the current price. Please resist the urge to add more channels to the base package, and increase the price. Having said that, adding more channels individually or as add-on packages would be the way to go imho. Agreed but keep in mind other services provi...
