Re: Recordings with missing frames?

The main channels I use are TCM and AMC. I've noticed it on both of them. One of the reasons this is annoying is sometimes when you hit a spot like this in the video it makes the whole video stop playing correctly unless you back up to right after the error, then it will start to play properly agai...

Recordings with missing frames?

Is anyone else seeing some recordings in which every once in a while a couple of seconds of the video just seem to be missing? I’ll be watching a scene and the movie just seems to skip ahead a few seconds.

Re: If Upload is saturated, will your HD Homerun Premium TV recordings be affected?

The underlying protocol is HTTPS (TLS 1.2) over TCP. If your upload path is saturated to the point you are seeing web pages slow to load then Premium TV will likely be sluggish as well. Nick During times when my upload bandwidth is saturated, I'm getting recordings that have spots where the video w...

Re: If Upload is saturated, will your HD Homerun Premium TV recordings be affected?

Your upload speed is irrelevant for distributing throughout your local network/recording to a local drive. It would only come into play if you were trying to access the content remotely through Plex or something. So, I could, for example, be remote streaming something through Emby, using all the up...

If Upload is saturated, will your HD Homerun Premium TV recordings be affected?

If something on your network is consuming most of your upload bandwidth during a recording, can that cause problems with your Premium TV recordings? Such as, dropped frames, skipping in the video, things of that nature? I should mention that I'm on a DSL connection. My max upload speed is About 1.9 ...

Question for Admin about today's announcement.

Is the 8 channel outage message in reference to the channels that have been missing lately, like Travel and HGTV? Are you saying that they are down due to a technical issue and will be returned?

Re: Noticeable Improvement in Picture Quality of TCM.

TheDetective - confirming, a number of channels recently got a deinterlace upgrade upstream which significantly improved the picture quality. ACraigo - stop exaggerating. The problem you are describing is a typically a single frame glitch in a 1 hour TV show. We are QA testing the fix and expect it...

Noticeable Improvement in Picture Quality of TCM.

I'd just like to say that TCM looks much better than it did. The shimmer effect that used to appear around the edges during camera motion has been significantly reduced. Some of the other channels like Paramount and and FX also look much better. Good job improving the picture and keeping the bandwid...
