Re: ASTC 3.0 Columbus, Ohio

Can someone post the program numbers for each channel? In the HDHomeRun Config GUI, they appear at the left side of the drop-down where you choose the program. I expect they're in the 5000 range. - Trip 56 GuideNumber "104.1" GuideName "WCMH" Modulation "atsc3" Frequency 527000000 PLPConfig "0" Pro...

Re: ASTC 3.0 Columbus, Ohio

I did a couple of test recordings with the Silicondust DVR solution on the new Columbus ATSC3.0 channels.. They worked fine. The video was 720P HEVC 10bit with 5.1 AC-4 audio.

Re: ASTC 3.0 Columbus, Ohio

I am getting the same thing with 128.1 going in and out. WTTE 106.3 and FOX are both channel 28, FOX. Channel 6 is WSYX. I would imagine they will eventually broadcast it on 106.1 .

Re: ASTC 3.0 Columbus, Ohio

I totally uninstalled my HDHomerun software on my Win 10 workstation and reinstalled it. Now I am getting video / audio on the ATSC 3.0 channels. I am seeing that ABC 106.3 and FOX 128.1 are both showing Fox content vs. ABC but it is 106.3 vs. 106.1 .

Re: ASTC 3.0 Columbus, Ohio

OK, after a little more testing the flipping between tuners iwas being caused by 2 different devices on my network attempting to grab tuners. They have different IP addresses. So sticking to the IP address of my Windows 10 system with the HDHomeRun app I am now getting this error in the tuner logs a...

I am seeing the 4 channels too but not having any luck yet with the HDHomeRun Windows 10 app. I am running the latest version 20210105 of the app and firmware. I have 2 4K Quatro tuners. When I tune a channel with the Win 10 app I see it connect to tuner 0 http://www.thebinks.com/jeff/4kcolumbus.jpg...

Re: ASTC 3.0 Columbus, Ohio

I see where a 4th station, WCMH NBC, has made their filing on December 16th. So 4 of the 5 major broadcast stations in Columbus have made their filings. Only WBNS CBS Channel 10 hasn't made a filing yet. Of course that is the station which will carry the Super Bowl game.

Re: AC-4 Audio?

I live in Columbus, Ohio and we have 3 local stations which are supposed to start broadcasting ATSC 3.0 in a few hours. I'll be interested to see if my Yamaha RX-A3080 AV receiver will decode AC4. Given it supports Dolby Vision I believe I will be fine. We'll see. Jeff As Kyle notes, that isn't lik...

ASTC 3.0 Columbus, Ohio - 2020

Based upon prior communications, 3 stations in Columbus, Ohio were supposed to begin broadcasting ATSC 3.0 this morning. WSYX WTTE CW I checked one of my Quatro ATSC 3.0 tuners and it doesn't look like any of the channels are broadcasting ATSC 3.0 yet. http://www.thebinks.com/jeff/images/wsyx.jpg Is...

Re: AC-4 Audio?

From the KS Not all playback clients will be able to support ATSC 3.0 content due to new codecs being utilized. You may need to purchase new client/playback hardware. For a computer you might need to purchase a new graphics card. Windows may require a paid Microsoft codec to be purchased from Micro...

Re: HDHomeRun QUATRO 4K for ATSC 3.0

I've been told that the Tivo boxes don't support bitstream audio, if that is important. You might consider the Vero 4K+ devices which have Ethernet, 5Ghz Wi-Fi and built in HEVC hardware decoding. Note that the Vero 4K+ runs OSMC Linux and isn't an Android box.

Looking forward to trying this with my new LG CX OLED that arrives this week - by not buying the GX with the ATSC3 tuner I have money left over, who knew the next day after ordering this would happen.
Ditto. Backer #157 . Looking forward to this.
