I predict 'Stage 2' has come to a screeching halt.

Re: Recordings with missing frames?

Have learnt to live with it I suppose (not good)...
For me, it's still like fingernails on a blackboard.
Trust me, if they ever get it fixed I'll be the first one to organize a parade.

Re: Recordings with missing frames?

This has been experienced in the past, but we thought we'd bitten this bug. Could you say which channels you are seeing it on?
All of them.

Re: EyeTV dead for me

Channels DVR: 80 each year (never ending, also no demo version) The first month is free - if that 'Demo' period didn't work out - cancel. Of course, there's always the *possibility that HDHR will completely change course in a magnum overhaul of everything they hold dear. (*slight, but possible. See...

Re: EyeTV dead for me

I fully agree with @name99. Wat we need is a smart recording system and not one for live viewing. So either something like EyeTV (great product, lousy developer) or TVHeadend. Only presently available product that does that is TV-Mosaic. Very good developer, quick replies but the product is (compar...

Re: DVR Feature Request - Recording Folder Structure

I found a workaround that makes the current folder layout work with my Plex libraries so I didn't push the issue. That'll only work up until the time it won't work anymore... Plex is notorious in it's requirements for TV Shows and using a dynamic DVR Storage location as a Plex Library is an epic mi...

Re: Lack of basic record button makes me miss shows

The 'Red Button' does start a recording - now you just have to take it on faith that it's recording ('cause there's pretty much no other way)...
The problem is in order to stop a recording you have to throw the server out the window.

Re: Two aerials into on HDHR with a splitter

Hi all, I have ordered one of the 'cable cutter max' aerials as recommended on the HDHR website. The thing is I'm in an area with quite a few different towers - would the signal come through to the HDHR Extend box okay if I added more than one aerial into it via a splitter or would this confuse it?...

Re: Subtitles

Must be from another country? To me subtitles and CC are the same thing. CC are closed captions and are encoded in the video data stream itself. Subtitles are DVB subtitles, which are transmitted as a separate stream alongside the video and different audio streams. They are two different technologi...

Re: Subtitles

Must be from another country? To me subtitles and CC are the same thing. I'm from WV and it is rare that we'd need English Subtitles for English audio tracks (maybe for a show shot in California), but for 'we-uns' we hit the button that says "CC" and words start showing up on the bottom of the scre...

Re: Hallmark, Discovery Channel, HGTV, TLC, Food Network, Animal Planet, Travel Channel & OWN

Meanwhile, SiliconDust just billed us all $34.99 without the $10 credit for the still-missing channels.
Same thing just happened here. Billed the full $34.99. No $10 credit. Anyone know how to get in touch with customer service?

Re: Last bill processed at 34.99?

I like the Premium service due to Plex integration and having OTA channels and premium channels on one grid, but I just can't justify $34.99 for the current channel lineup. Truthfully it was a stretch considering the full lineup when you consider what competing services that can't be mentioned here...

Thanks for the link - I missed that and hate to dup post :0)
Typically, you just look for the thread that has the most pages, the least amount of current/accurate info and the most amount of wild user speculation... that's it.
