Small Prime6 update - test boards just arrived for testing an updated RF filter design to prevent interference from MoCA and WiFi.
Nickk, Can you add that to the sticky on top of thread so when this gets buried people see the update?

Amazon FireTV

Has there been any more discussions between Amazon and SiliconDust on whether Amazon will ever secure their software that will allow DRM viewing on FireTV? What about being able to use HDHomerun as a source in FireTV Guide? I haven't seen any discussion on this for quite a while. Last I remember see...

Re: What is new about Alexa support for HDHOMERUN?

Normal for me is picking up a remote and navigating to HDHomerun. Amazon doesn't seem friendly to SiliconDust. They won't add the capability to add it as a source in their guide and they wont make a secure path to allow DRM, why bother? I'd rather see a Google integration since Nvidia Shield and Goo...

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm looking forward to Lon Seidman's annual interview with Ted Head at CES 2020 so we can hear Ted promise the Prime 6 sometime in late 2020.
Why stop at 2020. it'll be great promotional announcement for 2021 also

Re: When the Prime 6 comes out, how many are you planning on getting

IF THEY EVER COME OUT....I'll buy 2 of the Prime 6 units. I currently have 2 of the Prime 3 tuners but are acting up - old. I definitely need to upgrade and hope the new hardware addresses DRM issues as well. I depend on these for my Plex DVR setup. I don't have good reception for OTA antennas whic...

Re: When the Prime 6 comes out, how many are you planning on getting

Might not order any depends how Xfinity Instant TV looks like. Not looking very good to me. No outside home viewing, 2 consecutive streams at a time, pay a monthly fee, 20 hours cloud DVR that is non transferable. Prime 6 with SD recording, or Emby looks much better for me, even if it is taking 3 y...

Re: When the Prime 6 comes out, how many are you planning on getting

At least one - then we'll see how it goes, because with padding each channel can end up using two tuners. Using the HDHomerun app, channels, EMBY no way a channel takes up 2 tuners even with padding. I think he meant this example. record 30 minute show on channel 1 at 8:30 with a 2 min before and a...

Re: Forum Improvements?

My request for forum improvement is actual posts go in the correct forum. Hardware in hardware. Software in software. This is not an SD issue, this is a user issue.
