Re: Get list of pending recordings?

There is some documentation and pointers to other documentation here: https://github.com/snemetz/synology/blob/master/HDHomeRun/Doc-APIs.md Getting the completed recordings is a call to your recording device. but you'll need to know the IP address and port of that device. http://x.x.x.x.pppp/recorde...

Re: It took all of 1 day...

If you really want a grid guide, Channels is probably a better software choice. It's a little more expensive, but if you subscribe on an annual basis it is just a couple dollars a month more. My wife prefers the HDHR software, but she still uses TV like she did in the 80s - just punches in channel n...

Re: Mid-priced Android Box Recommendation? Less than $100

You can also get a USB "air mouse" for $10-20 on Amazon. It has a USB dongle so you can use it on anything (we ended up using a small hub for two of these remotes). These have the fwd/rwd buttons and several others. They don't really work as you'd expect - forward jumps forward something like 10 min...

Re: HDHR-DVRUI - A PHP/Web Interface to your HDHR DVR Setup

It is logging "Undefined index" errors (also happened with 0.7.0) when start or end are set to "On Time", because the recording_rules API doesn't return key:value pairs for those. I added an issue on github. It's a pretty easy fix to check for that, but I'm no PHP expert so I'm not sure my solution ...

Re: HDR-Homerun Signal Meter--Where is it?

If you goggle it you can get the APK to side load that is how I got it. That's how I did it as well. It's really handy to have it on the phone (it has to be able to reach your home wi-fi; this doesn't work over the internet or cellular). For those not knowing, an APK is sort of an Android program i...

Re: HDHR-DVRUI - A PHP/Web Interface to your HDHR DVR Setup

Is there a way to set the width of the recording blocks (the block with the picture on top and title info on bottom)? My 0.7.0 has unnecessarily large fonts, and each line is truncated after about 25 characters so I can't see complete titles or other info without hitting "delete" (and not deleting t...

Re: Python & Windows scripts for HDHR DVR recordings

I tried running the Tasks.exe and pipe the content to >Tasks.txt and I get the following error: Traceback (most recent call last): File "tasks", line 107, in <module> NameError: name 'exit' is not defined [3604] Failed to execute script tasks I'll try to replicate that - it is the part where it tel...

Re: HDHRUtil utilities - A few useful (python3) scripts for those using the HDHR ecosystem

curl http://127.0.0.1:4999/recorded_files.json curl: (7) Failed to connect to 127.0.0.1 port 4999: Connection refused That didn't work on my Shield, either - basically it's telling you that port 4999 is wrong. I went to my.hdhomerun.com (on my PC) and clicked on "HDHomeRun Record" - it sent me to p...

Python & Windows scripts for HDHR DVR recordings

I've put together a few small Python scripts to play with the HDHR DVR API. These allow you to do most things via command line. *WARNING* - some of these scripts can add or delete recordings. While I've never had any accidental deletions, I do not guarantee you won't (though if you start with the "t...

Re: HDHRUtil utilities - A few useful (python3) scripts for those using the HDHR ecosystem

Thanks for this - I've been thinking of writing a small perl or python script to add a DVR recording from TitanTV - basically a small Windows program associated with .tvpi files that will add the recording to the HDHR DVR. This allows adding a recording via the TitanTV grid. The code you have for di...
