Re: Encryption

Just saw this on the news today and raced here to see if anyone posted about it yet. This all but confirms that encryption support is coming. I just hope it can be rolled out with a firmware update and not new hardware. https://cordcuttersnews.com/atsc-3-0-nextgen-ota-tv-makes-changes-to-drm-to-help...

First time I have heard of these LTE filters. I was under the impression the HDHR devices had an internal "filter" that could be set by the software?

Re: Several new user questions: Guide data free trial, remote reboot, and ATSC 3.0 issue

Re: Encryption

To me surprise, someone from the engineering department at my local ATSC 3.0 encrypted station responded. They basically said it's the industry standard, contact your device manufacturer for not fully supporting the standard.

Re: Encryption

Just got this device, it appears that SD has been trying for years to get this device approved for DRM but has not been able to do so? It appears I am too late submitting my comments on to the FCC docket, it does not appear in the list, and the most recent comment was two days ago so it must have c...

Several new user questions: Guide data free trial, remote reboot, and ATSC 3.0 issue

I outlined some of my other confusion in my other thread: https://forum.silicondust.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=78913 But I will try and keep this one shorter. It seems that my 14 days guid...
