Re: issues with duplicated channels
This is actually the bandscan software that RabbitEars produces - I'll ask them for now - thanks for confirming!

Re: Apple TV 4K - SDR vs HDR
Apple TV 4K supports HDR when connected to a TV with HDR support. The option to enable is under Settings, Video and Audio, Format. In theory you should be able to set the format to SDR or HDR and everything should look exactly the same (normal SDR content). The Apple TV menu colors should look the ...

Re: issues with duplicated channels
Anything i can send on for help here?
BTW - this appears to be impacting my extend too, so points to either channel shenanigans or something pervasive in the HDHR code...

Re: issues with duplicated channels
In my case, though, it’s clearly not (the fluctuations from bandscan can be seen live in the config GUI, and not on the main transmitter RF). I’m wondering if the “resolution” check is being fooled somehow by the repeater station.

issues with duplicated channels
I know this is a long-standing issue, but it's only going to get worse with the possibility of ATSC3 repeaters. WCBS has their main transmitter in Manhattan (RF 36 Virt 2-1), and a duplicate on Long Island (RF 22 Virt 2-1). As you can see from bandscans, the 4K locks onto the repeater, which has a w...

Re: How do you justify the 4K in the shop.
I really don't get the hate on this subject... No signal conversion was ever promised - you get what you get, and clients need to be in-line to support it. Combine that with the expectable rollout pain from the stations (and releases in turn by SD), none of this is that shocking. I don't think peop...

Re: AC-4 Audio?
Most Windows 10 devices will play audio. XBox One will play audio. Many Android devices will play audio (requires app release from Dec 8 or later). AppleTV 4K will play audio. iPhone 11 and newer will play audio. We are seeing problems with some channels which we are investigating. One channel here...

Re: How do you justify the 4K in the shop.
I really don't get the hate on this subject. Maybe I'm more nuanced as I've had an extend (with transcoding), and now the Quatro. No signal conversion was ever promised - you get what you get, and clients need to be in-line to support it. Combine that with the expectable rollout pain from the statio...

Re: HDHomeRun QUATRO 4K for ATSC 3.0
NedS: Are you sure they are on the water as the latest info shared had it not leaving to the 9th though they could be on ship in the harbor as it is now the 4th there and it was due to arrive and load on the 3rd but I honestly expected a day or two prior to actually getting technically on the water...

Re: HDHomeRun QUATRO 4K for ATSC 3.0
Is the HDHomeRun app in the Roku Ultra compatible with this tuner? Roku will plan ATSC 1.0 channels from the HDHR5-4K. Not sure about ATSC 3.0 channels - it looks like it may require Roku to add additional codec support. Nick I know this may cross a line, but is there a client you guys test most? A...

Re: Having a hard time convincing family (wife) that HDHR DVR can replace WMC
I should be getting a T1Vo Stream on Saturday (if the HDHomeRun app runs on it well, we may have to revisit the word filter... maybe... I hate giving them money, but they make such good remote controls). I think the only major buttons missing for Android are last channel and Record. The others shou...
