Re: Synology SPK for DVR Record Engine
I didn't have this issue till I upgraded and didn't even notice it till you post. Is this all you had to do to get it fixed? I made the same change to the script he describes but recordings still not showing up but it did not break anything ether. The post I referenced was specifically for the HDHo...

Re: Synology SPK for DVR Record Engine
I am no longer seeing recordings on the Recordings tab of the HDHomeRun DVR Manager. I am running Version:0.6.6, Record Engine Version: 20190516beta2. Also, the DVR engine is not showing up on the Discovered HDHomerun Devices list (I though it did in the past but I could be wrong). If I open the St...

Re: Updated to May 17th- working fine but dashboard is gone.
Just updated today and record engine updated just fine, but when I go to the UI, the dashboard shows nothing, Record tab works like it should. Not a real biggie as I rarely use the ui, but just thought I was throw that out there... regards... sounds like you need to do a hard reload/refresh in your...

Re: Synology SPK for DVR Record Engine
I have been redoing the rooms in my house a little at time for past 2.5 years and just now moved my networking equip from the temporary room back into the room we just finished (well 99%). And for a second I forgot that I did not have to manually log into putty anymore and restart the DVR like in t...

Re: Synology SPK for DVR Record Engine
Works great on my test share.. when it comes to man pages that say something this: synoacltool -set-owner PATH [user|group] NAME I have never understood this syntax "[user|group]" So I asked for help and found out it's not literally like that but rather synoacltool -set-owner /volume1/HDHo...

Re: Synology SPK for DVR Record Engine
sudo synoacltool -add /volume1/HDHomeRun user:http:allow:rwxpdDaARWc--:fd-- When I would run this command it would keep the owner as root and not change it to http Still a little new to it myself. you need to use a different option to synoacltool to set the owner synoacltool -set-owner PATH [user|g...

Re: Synology SPK for DVR Record Engine
For my own knowledge I still want to figure out why sudo can't change ownership (and windows sort could). I want to fix that but glad it's working regardless. That strange recording that showed up tonight before things were working is still there and still in some unknown location. Sorry, was unabl...

Re: Synology SPK for DVR Record Engine
Idiot confession time: I overlooked something very basic/stupid: Record path was wrong the whole time! The default dir does not exist (HDhomerunDVR). Once I changed it, everything started working..old shows are there and it records new shows just fine. I have shutdown the other record engine, but I ...

Re: Synology SPK for DVR Record Engine
Synology says you can use windows to change permissions so I tried that. It did not recognize the owner (root) but it did let me revoke ownership and give it to administrators (group) but that is all it would let me do. I don't understand why synology doesn't respect sudo..never seen this before... ...
