Re: Channels DVR + DRM

Hi, I wasn't going to get your app due to DRM, but I just did a check of my cable channels and there are only 4 left now. I'll just use the HDHR app for those, or use your web stream feature. I only have one last question before I sign up, and I couldn't find the answer on your site. I have two HDHR...

Re: HDHR App Blown to hell since last update

You're kidding, right? This happened to everyone like 6 weeks ago. There is no f***ing way I'm going to go through the support circle-jerk of looking at my devices and patch levels as the source of the problem.

HDHR App Blown to hell since last update

I looked all over but couldn't find anything talking about this issue. Some weeks ago you folks put out an update, and absolutely DESTROYED the HDHR app. The lag when scrolling, delays with loading, it's ridiculous. It doesn't matter whether I do this on an Android TV box (tested both Jetstream and ...

Re: Capabilities of different Fire TV hardware (DRM)

No fire device will support drm until Amazon fixes things that may allow it (which may be never... not trying to spread fud but to show that if drm is a concern, don't consider a fire device at this time) Thank you, SC. I figured as much but wanted to be sure. That's so sad. They're otherwise great...

Re: Develop your own Android box

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, please build your own Android box! AirTV sells their player that comes integrated with SlingTV. I know, because I used them for HDHR, because they get DRM, and have to strip out the awful SlingTV when I set up a new one. I'd be willing to pay $100 for it over using a $40 box wi...

Re: Windows 10 App - Black screen when launching

Thanks for the help. I had to install the latest windows software from https://www.silicondust.com/support/downloads/. When I ran that, it installed the new firmware. Then I had to do a new channel scan. It's kind of working now. But I just got a MF_MEDIA_ENGINE_ERR_DECODE : HRESULT 0xC00D36F2 afte...

Light Windows app to Find Devices, or better yet, a dashboard

It would sure be cool if there were a very simple Windows store app that goes out and finds your HDHR devices on your network. Sometimes there may be a tv problem and I'd like to see the status of the HDHR boxes without having to login to my router and figure out which address they were assigned. Ev...

Re: Forum Improvements?

I'm about 99.9% sure the forum code behind this is something called "SMF" or "Simple Machines Forum". Except, of course, if one reads to the last lines of the forum pages, it says "Powered by phpBB® Forum Software © phpBB Limited". Well they sure as hell skinned it like SMF. I've used both. This lo...

Re: Windows 10 App - Black screen when launching

I'm suddenly getting the black screen for all copy protected channels on the win10 app. My Win10 install is updated to the latest and greatest code. No issues. I'm watching a DRM channel right now. This is on an HP laptop with an OEM install. I checked a Lenovo with an OEM install, also at the late...

Re: Forum Improvements?

Not sure if this is the best place but there really is no sub forum for this. Admin move if necessary. I haven't used this forum much in the past 7 years as my Primes just hummed along doing their thing but now, with setting up a couple of Quatros to do OTA recordings and testing out PremiumTV I've...

Re: HD homerun prime - network light red

Is there any way to fix a (possible) dead NIC in a HD homerun prime? Does Silicondust repair these? As of last week mine has a red light and no network connection (I have tried multiple ports on multiple switches with multiple network cables- I am a network engineer as well). Everything else seems ...

HDHomerun DVR and Unraid NAS

Hello, I just wanted to note that the HDHomerun DVR software runs on Unraid via Docker, and you get it via the "Community Applications" plugin. It's not officially supported by Unraid/Lime Technology, and after looking at the HDHR Prime 6 product page today I realized it's not supported by SD either...

Capabilities of different Fire TV hardware (DRM)

I wasn't sure where to put this as SD doesn't seem to have a section to discuss behavior on client devices. I gave up on Fire TV a long time ago. Mostly because of the DRM issue with HDHR. So my last FTV is the 2nd gen console box. On a whim I fired up that box today after more than a year, reset it...

Re: UI overlay missing on Android TV (Mi Box)

Can we get an option to opt out of the new UI until it is fixed? I am a paying DVR customer and don't really like being a guinea pig for a buggy UI. There are other paid options available if SiliconDust can't handle customer experience better. Hallelujah, amen, and I second the motion. I use a NAS ...
