Re: [UPDATED] Linux DVR stops connecting suddenly during playback

The normal DVR logs haven't really captured anything useful. Everything looks normal, then the DVR clearly stops, then starts back up later on. I will ask the dev team if there are other logs that might have recorded the issue in Alpine Linux, or if we can add anything to help debug this. If I expe...

OpenRC script for non systemd Linux OS

Hello everyone, I've been using Alpine Linux for my hdhomerun_record DVR for the last year, and it just occurred to me that I have an OpenRC script for controlling hdhomerun_record as a service that perhaps I should share with everyone, since I don't think I've seen another one of these around. It w...

[UPDATED] Linux DVR stops connecting suddenly during playback

Hi, My girlfriend was watching TV last night and our DVR service suddenly stopped working. I was watching it this morning and the same thing happened. Without warning, playback just stopped, kicked me out of the recording. Windows 10 client said "Your DVR is ready to record" (paraphrase) This combin...

We should have this fixed in an upcoming update for the Kodi add-on, along with the ability to delete recordings.
Oh, OK thanks :)

I figured it was just something I was doing wrong, but I guess I'm not crazy after all.

Re: FreeNAS / HDHomeRun DVR installation.

last I heard requires linux not (free)bsd FreeBSD version was released around the same time as Linux version, has been around at least a couple years. I still use it on my backup server, switched to Alpine Linux on my primary for some reason (not sure why, not really any advantage). But yeah, the F...

Re: FreeNAS / HDHomeRun DVR installation.

Two things: 1) Curious if anyone is aware why the freenas setup instructions are blank: https://my.hdhomerun.com/instructions/freenas/ 2) I have it working in a FreeNAS jail by my own setup but am wondering if SiliconDust is working on a downloadable Plugin/Package. If so, is there a Beta for it th...

Is there a limitation on number of channels in Kodi add-ons?

Hey

New to Kodi addons for Hdhomerun ... I think I've tried at least 4 of them now

They all go up to channel 159, when I have digital cable channels into the 1000s ... is there some kind of limitation restricting them? because I noticed it was the same across all the ones I tried...

Thanks

Re: Kodi app 30s forward 10s back navigation possible?

I was just using Kodi with the official HDHomeRun add-on and for the life of me I could not get it to do anything but just play. No stop, no fast forward, no time shifting, nothing. Not with mouse, not with keyboard. Looks like the Ubuntu package maintainer's version is 18.6, I installed that from t...

Re: Support running multiple record engines as a pool

Has there been any updates to the multi-engine record functionality?

Any chance we could assign priority to them any time in the near future?

New UI still not recording shows when clicking record

Hi, So I've broached this subject before. I simply want a record button to record when I hit record. That seems to have happened, which I really appreciate. But there's one glaring caveat that still impairs its functionality: If hdhomerun_record *thinks* a show has already been recorded pressing the...

Kodi app 30s forward 10s back navigation possible?

Hey,

In regards to the official Kodi app, I was just wondering if the 30s forward 10s back navigation is possible, or if the navigation style is controlled by Kodi?

Re: Support running multiple record engines as a pool

OK tested out 20190815Beta1 and still having an issue where at first the two seem to peacefully co-exist. I might have to click "recordings" to "refresh" one of the servers because the "secondary" record server's recordings tend to appear first, but hitting "recordings" can make the "primary" record...

Re: Support running multiple record engines as a pool

I'm no longer using NFS for any recording storage. If I'm running two record engines, the list of my recordings still has to be "refreshed" by hitting the recordings button again on the top menu about 1 out of every 3 times I return to the recordings menu. It looks like the client is only seeing one...

Re: Support running multiple record engines as a pool

Your expecting too much... recordings "must" start on time as there is no late start (except at start of engine when it first comes up) and as such the recordings would be truncated (though an engine restarting may pick up in progress, or you might try poking another engine when it was down, though...
