Re: Can you make the record button work regardless of what's in time slot please?

Hi, Pressing the record button creates a one-time-recording task which should always record, even if the DVR thinks that episode has previously recorded. If you are seeing something different please let me know. Nick Hi, yes, last Tuesday night there was coverage on Thurston Co, WA Comcast MSNBC 66...

Can you make the record button work regardless of what's in time slot please?

Hi I'm a happy user of HDHomeRun DVR since 2017 However, the only thing I miss from by WMC box is the ability to hit a record button and know it is recording I've been asking for a simple record button for 3 years now. The new UI has the button now, so that's an improvement But it won't record if it...

Kodi app 30s forward 10s back navigation possible?

Hey,

In regards to the official Kodi app, I was just wondering if the 30s forward 10s back navigation is possible, or if the navigation style is controlled by Kodi?

Re: Support running multiple record engines as a pool

OK tested out 20190815Beta1 and still having an issue where at first the two seem to peacefully co-exist. I might have to click "recordings" to "refresh" one of the servers because the "secondary" record server's recordings tend to appear first, but hitting "recordings" can make the "primary" record...

Re: Support running multiple record engines as a pool

I noticed there's a new version so I thought I'd try testing the dual recorders again

Re: Support running multiple record engines as a pool

I'm no longer using NFS for any recording storage. If I'm running two record engines, the list of my recordings still has to be "refreshed" by hitting the recordings button again on the top menu about 1 out of every 3 times I return to the recordings menu. It looks like the client is only seeing one...

Re: Support running multiple record engines as a pool

Your expecting too much... recordings "must" start on time as there is no late start (except at start of engine when it first comes up) and as such the recordings would be truncated (though an engine restarting may pick up in progress, or you might try poking another engine when it was down, though...

Re: NEW - support running multiple record engines as a pool

Feature - the HDHomeRun support for running multiple record engines also provides support for hardware redundancy. If a server fails or drops offline, all future recordings will continue with the remaining server(s). At most the recording-in-progress is truncated. Nick I tested this today: Recordin...

Re: Support running multiple record engines as a pool

I can confirm that I have two record engines working on two separate ESXi hosts in FreeBSD 12, it appears to be showing all recordings from both locations. Thankfully it's only recording on the one I want it to, since it has more free space. Please let me know if there's an update that will allow me...

Re: NEW - support running multiple record engines as a pool

Folder 'A' is configred to be a shared folder Not sure how you are sharing, but neither NFS nor SMB reliably work due to their lack of complete filesystem emulation. While one can sort of get things to work some of the time, the recommendation is not to share for it will fail in weird ways eventual...

Re: NEW - support running multiple record engines as a pool

if i was to set RecordStreamsMax to >0 is there a way to set preferred first engine? i.e. i want to use my synology which is on the same GbE switch first I believe nickk stated it would generally use the one with most space... I can see that I also would like to set a preference and perhaps another...

Re: "No channels found on any device"

FWIW I just spun up a Debian buster w/KDE VM from netinstall iso to see what Kodi looks like, and the only issue I had was DHCP automatically set the address to one that was being used by another device. Set ipv4 manually, reset the network and I was good to go. Official HdHomerun add-on was found v...

What language used to code the HDHR applications?

Hi, I've been wondering for a while what language(s) were used to code the HDHomerun applications like View, Record, Setup, etc. The closed-source stuff that is ported to several different platforms. I'm not a coder but it's been a curiosity of mine - how are you able to write the applications for o...

Correct, the HDHomeRun app and DVR are not open source, and that is why they are not on github.
Great, thanks for the clarification, Jason :)

Is there an svn or github repo for LIVE and RECORD?

Like the title says, I noticed there's github repos for silicondust, but haven't seen the most-used software in it.

Would be nice to have LIVE and RECORD repos with change logs, version history, different releases, etc.

Are they not open-sourced? (is that why?)

Thanks
