Re: T2 Tennis Channel
I am just one end user. I personally hope SiliconDust does not go down the slippery slope of supporting internet "broadcasting." I bought mine as a source of over the air viewing on multiple devices, and don't really care if it merges with the Internet or not. That's just me, and I certain...

Re: The HDFX-4K, a different perspective and why it is a good purchase..
Generally speaking, I think it is fair to say in most cities the ATSC 3.0 signal results in a better picture quality. Every town is different, no doubt.
My Indianapolis ATSC 3.0 broadcasts look better than their 1.0 counterparts.

Re: Encryption
I'm sure Nick will respond when he has time to digest the information he has received. The switch-over is a LONG ways off.

Re: Encryption - 16-142' in the 'Proceeding(s) box
Proceeding 16-142 is a HOT topic on the FCC Filing page. It has 4,102 responses . No other topic has above 2,000 responses, and only 5 (including 16-142) have over 1,000. The responses I've read are almost exclusively opposing DRM, and all are very well written. If the FCC and/or broadcasters are p...

Re: Super Bowl in 4K HDR
In other words, no television station in the USA is broadcasting a 4K Super-Bowl signal through their antenna located on a big tall tower which is to be received by a user's television antenna and consequently used to put a 4K picture on a television screen.

Re: Super Bowl in 4K HDR
I would like clarification.
It is my understanding that as we speak not a single television station in the United States of America is broadcasting in 4K.
Have I missed something?

Re: List of Supported devices
I do not pretend to understand everything going on with ATSC 3.0. Does the information below sound right? I THINK that my Emby Server (getting its signal from my SiliconDust 4K device) has indicated the ATSC 3.0 video is coming through the server and the AC4 sound is apparently being converted to D...

Re: List of Supported devices
I know no one cares :D but I now have a Roku Ultra as of yesterday, FireTV Cube and AppleTV device to test out with this. All the newest models. Get to work dude! :D I have a new FireTV Cube, and I'm not smart enough to figure out if it's working with AC4 on its own, or if the SiliconDust stream is...

Re: HDHomeRun 4K is Nextgen TV Certified
I can testify that my HDHR5-4K can successfully record an ATSC 3.0 broadcast. Through the $20 WalMart Onn "Google TV box" no less! :D Now if somebody from the broadcast industry will PLEASE work with SiliconDust on DRM, I can quit being so mean to the broadcasters in the AVS ATSC 3.0 forum.
