Bad News.
I plugged my Servio back in, and as expected, the video file isn't there. Or at least I can't see it. Pretty sure it wasn't plugged in when I recorded the program.
And I can't find it in my computer's specified location either. I am certain the recorded video belongs on my computer's "D ...

I can't find my most recent recording on my computer
I recently recorded an ATSC 3.0 (non-DRM of course) broadcast. It plays back perfectly, sound and all. Shows up in the HDHomeRun app along with every other recording I have recorded in the past. They also still play just fine.
BUT, I can not find the most recent recording in the same location in my ...

Re: HDFX-4K turned flakey, new power supply not the answer
The charger came in while I was on vacation.
At first, I thought we were right back to where we were.
In checking to see when I ordered my device, I found that somehow I had ordered the DVR subscription, but had never paid for it. I went ahead and paid for it.

Re: HDFX-4K turns flakey
I'm about 99% sure you have hit the nail on the proverbial head.
The tuner does NOT currently have the right power source. I would note, as a VERY weak form of defense that the tuner itself says it requires a 12V 1amp power supply. Best excuse I can come up with on short notice! :D

Re: HDFX-4K turns flakey (again)
Well, it flaked out again . Worked for about an hour, then started acting weird. Then it finally quit and started all the weird errors again. I've done some checking online, and I am guessing it's all related to heat. I think I will try a few things I have read about. Put it on its side, provide a ...

Re: HDFX-4K turns flakey
I'm afraid it's a goner. MAKE THAT WAS AFRAID!

I certainly appreciate your offer, but it's ...

I am NOT an expert here by any means, so I would wait for an informed answer from somebody who actually knows what they are talking about. :D

Keep up the good fight Nick. I have a 4K tuner of yours that is getting ready to go to work on ALL ATSC 3.0 stations.

Re: Encryption
It seems to me that SiliconDust, through their filing, has proven beyond any doubt that ATSC 3.0 proponents have made absolutely absurd and disingenuous (to be kind) arguments in order to justify DRM.

In my eyes, Nick offered some very encouraging news regarding DRM I obtained while watching a Lon Seidman's youtube post.
