Re: When the Prime 6 comes out, how many are you planning on getting

Correct, it's ether in the client app or the DVR software. Is your DVR software running the latest version? You can check http://my.hdhomerun.com and look for the X mark or a check mark next to the DVR version number. Now for the real big question Ned, when is the Prime 6 coming out???? I beat Ned ...

Re: When the Prime 6 comes out, how many are you planning on getting

IF THEY EVER COME OUT....I'll buy 2 of the Prime 6 units. I currently have 2 of the Prime 3 tuners but are acting up - old. I definitely need to upgrade and hope the new hardware addresses DRM issues as well. I depend on these for my Plex DVR setup. I don't have good reception for OTA antennas whic...

Re: Love to see a Premium TV Replacement

The streams aren't coming from the OTT/cable/satellite providers, they're coming from the channels themselves. It doesn't matter where the steam it self is coming from and by way Philo is all in house as all of it is owners by A&E Networks, AMC Networks, Discovery Inc. and Viacom and soon CBS so th...

Re: Love to see a Premium TV Replacement

Discussion of the Channels DVR TVE service is off-topic for this forum. Please use the their forums to discuss their service. https://community.getchannels.com/c/channels-dvr/tv-everywhere shspvr, your understanding of how the Channels TVE stuff works is incorrect; you should read more on their for...

Re: Love to see a Premium TV Replacement

Playon has been doing the exact same thing for years. Playon is just software driven screen capture I can do petty much do the same with HD-PVR but with real-time encoding hardware. Beside Playon don't work over Philo, HuluTV or YoutubeTV Hulu is supported. There to two Hulu reg Hulu and Hulu TV th...

Re: Love to see a Premium TV Replacement

I'm trying to imagine what that would be like, but are there any of those 'Providers' still walkin' around? 'Internet TV' solutions are available, of course, just throw enough money around and you have everything you want, but it's Their TV, Their Way, so... yea.. Channels DVR is developing integra...

Re: Love to see a Premium TV Replacement

Looks like the Loveland/Fort Collins area here in Colorado is moving toward a locally run Fiber Internet service (Yeah!). Unfortunately that means deciding what to do with TV if I drop my current cable provider. As such, I was wondering if there are any plans to "Re-Imagine" Premium TV at a future ...

Re: Is there a HDHomeRun version of msdri.dll for Prime Tuners?

Have you tried the Unregister button? That might work to remove them. They're added by Windows, not by the HDHomeRun software, so I don't know if there even is a recommended way to remove them. The HDHomeRun Service just updates a WMC registry key that tracks the last known IP of the device and occ...

Emby shouldn't be using either. I believe it currently uses HTTP tuning, which is the recommended method of accessing channels with HDHomeRun PRIME.
Your miss the point of BDA Driver access the tuner

Re: When the Prime 6 comes out, how many are you planning on getting

Not sure what terms I am violating by watching streams that I pay for. Channels just puts it into a convenient UI. It's not like I am redistributing the content. It's basically same as adding more tuners. Maybe you should read the OTT user agreement it should state violate in some of reference to n...

Re: When the Prime 6 comes out, how many are you planning on getting

After over A YEAR AND A HALF of SD dragging their feet, I've lost interest in the Prime 6. There is no significant hardware improvement over the Prime 3. And in fact, the 3 has gigabit ethernet and the 6 will be downgraded to 100 Mbps. Now that Channels has TV Everywhere integration, there really i...

Re: HDHomeRun Prime 6 update?

Nickk/ned: Will this new 6 tuner also have the ability to have an api to control the channels/volume/full screen/etc. I’m at a loss as to why you can not implement those in the current prime. I have proven you are able to talk to a windows 10 app in its “sandbox” but neither of you two have talked ...

Re: HDHomeRun Prime 6 update?

The HDHR3-CC uses a CPU made by Ubicom. Ubicom was bought by Qualcomm and Qualcomm discontinued all products made by Ubicom. I don't think they discontinued all products that was many year ago only one year after the introduced of the HDHomeRun Prime in 2011 then it wouldn't have survive more then ...
