Re: Channels Apps Are Now Free for DVR Subscribers

Each client has the option … you have to set it on each client you use.
Ah okay... thanks.

Re: Channels Apps Are Now Free for DVR Subscribers

Make sure tuner sharing is on all the clients in the DVR settings.
I don't see a tuner sharing setting per client, just one "share tuners" option.

Re: Channels Apps Are Now Free for DVR Subscribers

After using Channels for several days, I'm liking it a lot.

I think the interface does a much better job helping the viewer find the TV programs they want to watch.

I'm thinking I'll be sticking with it and hope to see it continue to improve.

Re: Channels Apps Are Now Free for DVR Subscribers

But will I lose surround sound on TV? I certainly wouldn't want that to happen.
I see that I do. Somehow the HDHomeRun app gets around this.

If my TV supported HDMI-CEC it wouldn't be an issue, but my Samsung does not.

Re: Channels Apps Are Now Free for DVR Subscribers

If Channels DVR and HDHomerun DVR both use the same recordings folder, will the apps be able to see and play each other's recordings?

Re: Channels Apps Are Now Free for DVR Subscribers

If you're using a remote with a play/pause button, you can double click it to switch to the last channel. Cool! You can turn off Surround Sound in the Android settings to fix this on all apps, or turn it off just for Channels in the Player section of the Channels app. But will I lose surround sound...

Re: Channels Apps Are Now Free for DVR Subscribers

Channels definitely has some nice features and is very polished. I'm a little disappointed that that you can't scroll sideways to see what's on other channels on the smaller transparent channel overlay listing while watching a channel. Rather, you have to pull down the top which covers a large part ...

Re: Channels Apps Are Now Free for DVR Subscribers

With the ability to try out Channels for 30 days, I'm finally taking the plunge and giving it a try.

Re: Prime 6 ETA

they just changed Coming Soon to Coming 2019, so that a plus
How is that a plus? All that means instead of in the near future, it may be November or December.

They promised mid-2018 before and that meant nothing.

Re: When will HDHomeRun Prime 6 available?

If Prime 6 is not coming out before Servio and Scribe, don't you think it wouldn't have been updated, or be missing, or the others would be put up quickly with the same coming in 2019? Really? That's what you're basing your assessments on?    They already had the page up, they ...

Re: When will HDHomeRun Prime 6 available?

Ok,, so a company is in currently producing the equipment. they have the machines and assembly lines creating the product. do you really think it takes 3 months to produce, box and ship 10,000 units... they can probably build that many in a 2 days once the machines are configured Nobody said "makin...

Re: Unexpected DVR behavior (in a good way)

Kudos to SD. The HDHR Connect must've buffered the OTA feed while the DVR was offline. And then when the DVR came back up, the DVR software was able to make up for what it missed and put together a complete MPEG stream on disk.

Very cool! :D
Ah no.

Re: When will HDHomeRun Prime 6 available?

There are 2 things keeping me hopeful that the Prime 6 gets released before the March/April Preorder/shipmnent of the Scribe and Servio… 1. Prime 6 is still listed on the site under products, and neither Scribe or Servio have been added as coming soon and it's been over a week since the announcemen...
