Each client has the option … you have to set it on each client you use.

Make sure tuner sharing is on all the clients in the DVR settings.
I don't see a tuner sharing setting per client, just one "share tuners" option.

Re: Channels Apps Are Now Free for DVR Subscribers

After using Channels for several days, I'm liking it a lot.

I think the interface does a much better job helping the viewer find the TV programs they want to watch.

I'm thinking I'll be sticking with it and hope to see it continue to improve.

But will I lose surround sound on TV? I certainly wouldn't want that to happen.
I see that I do. Somehow the HDHomeRun app gets around this.

If my TV supported HDMI-CEC it wouldn't be an issue, but my Samsung does not.

Re: Channels Apps Are Now Free for DVR Subscribers

If Channels DVR and HDHomerun DVR both use the same recordings folder, will the apps be able to see and play each other's recordings?

Re: Channels Apps Are Now Free for DVR Subscribers

If you're using a remote with a play/pause button, you can double click it to switch to the last channel. Cool! You can turn off Surround Sound in the Android settings to fix this on all apps, or turn it off just for Channels in the Player section of the Channels app. But will I lose surround sound...

Re: Channels Apps Are Now Free for DVR Subscribers

Channels definitely has some nice features and is very polished. I'm a little disappointed that that you can't scroll sideways to see what's on other channels on the smaller transparent channel overlay listing while watching a channel. Rather, you have to pull down the top which covers a large part ...

With the ability to try out Channels for 30 days, I'm finally taking the plunge and giving it a try.
