In the end the local stations will lose out.

Years ago when I had a cable subscription.
I rarely ever watched local TV, except for some sports.

Streaming services are also killing local programming. Besides, there really isn't anything interesting to watch on local TV anyway. Reruns, reruns. Game ...

Televisions are starting to come out with built in atsc 3.0 tuners and android smart tv control. Hell some televisions have recording capabilities.

No Android tv boxes and no more ota nonsense. It's just a matter of time and price point.

We are very clear on our website and on Amazon that DRM channels are not supported.

With that said, the HDHomeRun hardware has little to do with DRM as its job is to stream the DRM encrypted video to the app.
The decryption and playback is handled by the player device with app assistance.

The whole point of DRM is prevent recording.

My question is.
What TV content do people record nowadays?
