My Xbox One S did the same thing. A restart always allowed a reconnection, but was never able to find a permanent fix. I suspected the Wifi. I ended up trading it on a One X, which never had the problem.

I just tested again on my Chromecast via Wifi and plugged into a 4K Sony TV. Yes it works fine at first, but on the third or fourth DRM channel change the video freezes immediately with audio, then the audio stops. You're getting timeout errors on the tuning adapter. Ask your cable provider to give you a replacement. It's fairly common for tuning adapters to be finicky and need to be replaced. Thanks Ned. I use the HP WMC remote almost exclusively from the easy chair. Just wanted to add that the OK button changes to Previous Channel in WMC. Is that one of the ones captured by the OS or can it also be implemented?

I see this too on my Chromecast Google TV, usually after changing channels a few times. I thought SD was already aware of this and still working the issue but maybe this is different?

This happened, to a degree, to my Spectrum cablecard subscription this week (Monday the 21st). Missing almost half my channels. I still can view some DRM channels. Been repowering and rescanning every day this week. Thought it was Spectrum. Now I'm not so sure. I'll be watching this thread! I also ...

I'm testing the new Beta on my old Sony Android TV with a Prime on channels like CNN and CNBC with a constant ticker (which I rarely watch) and all I'm seeing is what I'll call a micro-pause every so often. To me this is perfectly acceptable.

So are we resigned to wait for a Chromecast Google TV update, or does SD need to identify what changed made in the last Google TV update and update HDHOMERUN to accommodate/fix? Why does a FF correct the video?

And is anyone with a new TV with Google TV (like Sony or Hisense) seeing this issue?

Confirming Uninstalling/reinstalling the app doesn't help. It was fine for the first channel change or two, but the longer I watched Live TV and changed channels, the worse it got. It also affects Live Channels. Does not happen on Sony Android TV 8.
