Re: Navigation annoyance in 20260507 (Recorded)
Since most screens have some vertical scrolling involved, I have always felt it was the back key to take you to that top menu rather than the up key.

Re: FIOS Getting 'not subscribed' on HD Homerun prime cable card all of the sudden only detecting a few channels
From what i am told, half of fios is to completely lose cablecard access in the next month or so... some areas may have locals for a bit after but my understanding the majority of those areas that are losing cablecard this year will also lose all clear qam by July. The other half of fios loses ...

Re: Just lost all but a handful of Chanels
What I read somewhere was that half of Verizon would be losing all qam by July this year and the other half would be by July next year and that also mentioned a couple of months keeping the clear qam during that switch while people realize the retirement of cablecards is real and one "must" get an ...

Re: Using MAC for Storage
Multiple record engines typically use the engine with the most space.
If you are attaching external drive to a computer/nas, that is typically the RecordPath, there can be multiple locally attached directories for locations and that device records to the first location in that path, while other ...

Re: HDHomeRun Prime Detect Channels Question
I would check to see if it shows up by adding ?show=all at the end of the lineup url (may also wish to change .html to .json which would be required to see tuning info). Since you mentioned "hours" for scan, I would assume you have a TA (or HSC) which would disable the "tuning" parameter so a scan ...

Re: Silicondust LPTV
What does this mean to a consumer?
As far as the thread is concerned, more stations regardless of whether or not they are the ones from SD and you are within range to receive them (they are low powered after all) and in most cases have an antenna that is good for low vhf (think very large as in ...

Re: Silicondust LPTV
For what its worth, I was told this long ago about shaw butte, 3 months later my signal levels dropped from -10dBm to around -33dBm which is around what most my majors are from south mountain show. So I do personally believe it was dropped but always mention such supposedly exists as I have never ...

Re: Silicondust LPTV
I'm about 5 miles (NNW) from the channel 7 proposal in Phoenix but it looks like I may not even be able to pick it up due to the heart shaped pattern. I just got a smartkom, which actually helped me out with several channels, and it seems to be begging me to attach a low vhf antenna to one of its ...

Re: BIG NEWS - "Record This Airing" now works for everyone
On my phone I was very surprised by the prominent location of the record dot (don't use phone for such often as tv belongs on much bigger screens). When I go to my google streamer (and other android tv devices) it is a bit further to the right as jumping back, pause, and skip are earlier while on ...

Re: Scroolbar Issue in 20260115b
To me, Tasks is the only thing that needs a scrollbar, but most will probably never use one. I prefer managing my tasks outside of the app so it doesn't make that much difference to me. Everything else (in app) is done through 10 foot interface so a scrollbar never comes into play, however those ...

Re: BIG NEWS - "Record This Airing" now works for everyone
Most people who want to record something will require the guide to make a series/scheduled recording not one particular recording of one particular episode that is airing in the next several hours and then require one to set such again for the next day.

Re: Compatibility of FLEX 4K with ATSC 3.0 DRM Channels in Chicago (CBS/NBC/FOX)
Currently ATSC 3.0 Encryption (DRM) does not work for consumers with any HDHR.

Re: HDHomeRun 4K is Nextgen TV Certified
If your atsc3 channels are encrypted they will not currently work with the hdhomerun and the current consumer apps (in theory there are commercial $$$$$$ apps that can possibly work). It can receive unencrypted atsc3 content as well as whatever your duo can receive.(assuming US model duo since you ...
