Re: DRM Protected Channels

The windows 10 software works with DRM for what this thread is about (prime with cablecard). You will need a properly paired cablecard as well as other requirements...

Re: List of Supported devices
How did you "test" for ac4 as I didn't see a post here about it with changes of audio (speaker) config aa often they may support such but no native codec only passthrough to typically eventually output better than the online stereo transcode. Right now unless it has at least partial ac4 su...

So it has benn gone a bit longer.

Re: Flex 4k - my.hdhomerun.com page doesn't work
The use of my.hdhomerun.com to display devices has been gone for years (at least since October 2021 since such was removed, but issues started before that) as browsers no longer supported reaching out to (pulling information from) your device from a remote web page (a link to them would work though)...

Re: Set max storage limit on NAS (Synology)
Possibly but often can cause issues. Many solutions involving quotas require specific volumes and users and whether or not such works well may also depend on how it was installed and the path used in the config. But it probably is worth trying out.

Re: Encryption
If mods want to remove this feel free as it probably can be considered more about a competitor's device but I wanted to post to how absurd some of the drm issues can be... and what can easily delay some things. Today I found out why my ZB, at least according to the folks at zb, can no longer tune 15...

Re: HDHomeRun Record service only working when PC has active user session
You might need to be more clear on how you scheduled the recorded show while not logged on (and service not running?). The way the app schedules a recording is through the cloud then it is supposed to poke the engine to retrieve the data (for the next 4 hours) from the cloud as the engine itself onl...

Re: Automatic rescan?
You cannot turn off the autoscan, that is the function of the device itself, not the software... best to disable such channels as they come in as the autoscan should only be additive and not remove such channels so in theory if you disable the channels so you won't see them in the apps unless the ap...

Re: Google TV app shows wrong channel when tuned
Editing that file does nothing for the HDHomeRun app as that won't update SD's servers with such change as that is only done when doing the scan.

Re: Usability Issue - Buttons too Close - iPad App
UI is supposed to be loaded at launch, some platforms may inadvertently cache but the UI version you mentioned is 14 days after it went out so either there was another bug seen forcing such to be reverted or a new ui came out that may no longer implement it or, based on my understanding, a touch scr...

Re: Google TV app shows wrong channel when tuned
Though SD probably doesn't want you doing so, my personal preference for legacy equipment is to keep them on old enough firmware to not even be considered by the "modern" apps as it is a hack (not trying for a negative connotation of hack) to provide a lineup served from SD for a device th...

Re: Phoenix issues
Thanks, I know when I checked the fixes shortly after fixed they were working fine and still are. However, one more thing I noticed today is that 15.5 should be QVC2 but the guide displayed is for QVC. For what its worth, Zap2IT also has this wrong as they list a 15.4, which doesn't exist (any longe...

Re: Can I record DRM station?
You cannot currently view or record encrypted atsc3 channels. You would want to select all channels so it can fall back to an available channel but note it would typically default to the regular atsc channel anyway unless the atsc3 was marked as a favorite and the regular atsc channel wasn't. Note t...

Re: Roku and Prime
Roku is a terrible platform for tv content, it can be fine for internet content. The mpeg2 decoder is one of the worse around and many older boxes don't even support the audio standards used for tv. The reason why such isn't supported for the prime, but may work, is cable systems often encode the mp...

For me when I went through every channel to update titan for the zb listings (titan has about 20 channels that since phoenix doesn't observe DST have to be manually fixed twice a year... not sure why they don't use a UTC and generally 2 feeds like "everyone" else I did notice a couple of i...
