Re: Improving adding and editing record rules
Your first part isn't really about rule improvements but is its own topic... personally would hate this as I have never had such work correctly for me as it always ends up deleting something it shouldn't. I do believe there should be 2-4 fields added in the saved rule to help with such mainly so the...

Re: Did update and lost cable card tuner WMC
I do suggest going to thegreenbutton.tv as they are generally the more WMC focused forum. Really the only thing I can suggest on a rebuild is to run the DCA (may need to run mcupdate but MS may have shut that down), and make sure to update playready before setting up tuners. You may also need to reb...

Re: Can't unhide
Right now I am not seeing hide or unhide in the UI... but If you really wish to unhide it you can do so from a browser: get the DeviceAuth from the discover.json of the tuner (<ip-of-tuner>/discover.json) do a search for .hidden http://api.hdhomerun.com/api/search?DeviceAuth=some_long_string&Search=...

Re: HDHR5-2US vs HDHR5-4K on ATSC 1.0?
Typically each generation gets better at such and for me the "4K" has been the best in getting many channels but that doesn't apply to everyone. In your use case I wouldn't even be surprised if an even older model than that 3rd gen works a bit better... the way I like to describe it is the the newer...

Re: Did update and lost cable card tuner WMC
I suggest asking/looking in thegreenbutton.tv for some tips. But for your use case TunerSalad woudn't even be necessary as it is 4 of each type and so you can have 4 OTA and 4 CableCard tuners without needing TunerSalad. I do have one unit that long ago when I moved and changed networks (thus subnet...

Re: incorrect channel numbers
Nothing really for SD to fix as they are 100% dependent on the channel scan. Yes it would be great if SD had a way to make manual changes (long ago I even suggested compiling an official list of channel names so names can easily be matched to guide). A prime with cablecard would fix such as the card...

Re: Recording and Playing back 3.0?
"All" only means "one" (of any given episode). However you can force it to a specific channel. It has been awhile since I checked but it used to be the engine would only record one of the same episode when starting at the same time even when recording oneoffs which would usually force another copy o...

Re: HD HomeRun PRIME and Verizon FIOS - DRM Problems
Yes they is referring to your provider. When they send hits it can be "hours" before all of them clear (typically a hit gets sent 4 times often with a 5-30 minute window between them so it can be important to wait them out before moving on to the next step otherwise it may change things) and one of ...

Re: HD HomeRun PRIME and Verizon FIOS - DRM Problems
First are those channels detected by the scan and properly labeled as being drm protected. If that is the case, your issue is with the client or network. If they aren't detected, typically that is a result of the Pairing process that a hit was on the line that reset the data id so they must enter th...

Re: UI issue - ver. 20210326b
Though NedS may have checked, do you have the DVR engine installed/discovered as that is used for the live buffer (assuming no drm). DRM protected channels and those without DVR such buffer uses ram. When most things seemed to go through my scribe with virtually no space left I also would experience...

Re: HDHomerun Connect Duo - only recording 30sec of all my recorded shows
The firmware issue didn't affect the connect duos or quatros, only the older connects (without duo in its name). Where is your engine? The record engine does not support saving to a remote system... storage must be local.. there have been some tricks that could accomplish such but after so many file...

Re: HDHomeRun Prime Channels Not Detected
Chromecast with google tv works fine with DRM protected channels (I use 3 of them daily). The trick is usually getting location services set up (and you may need to clear cache/data from app and reboot). There are some cases that your network may not meet requirements (wifi needs a certain level of ...

Re: HDHomeRun Prime Channels Not Detected
They should work with the hdhomerun app on Google TV, what model (assuming you are referringto android models as mentioned and not the ancient one). Main thing is device must be official which is why I said androidtv rather than android as typically all those are properly licensed compared to generi...

Re: HDHomeRun Prime Channels Not Detected
I had typed a long reply but you got the right hit (hopefully an auditing system doesn't kick in and remove it) With DRM you would need WMC (windows 7/8) to record the channels but you can watch them live on many platforms with the HDHomeRun app (AndroidTV, Windows 10, iOS) and if you have a suffici...

Re: HDHomeRun Prime Channels Not Detected
Basically you need to get your provider to send the hit to change not staged to ready... some providers may need a service call to do that as they need to contact the dncs operator in the local office to send the hit. Basically that is the same issue if a box was not plugged into the coax "network" ...
