Re: Roku and Prime
Roku is a terrible platform for tv content, it can be fine for internet content. The mpeg2 decoder is one of the worse around and many older boxes don't even support the audio standards used for tv. The reason why such isn't supported for the prime, but may work, is cable systems often encode the mp...

Phoenix issues
For me when I went through every channel to update titan for the zb listings (titan has about 20 channels that since phoenix doesn't observe DST have to be manually fixed twice a year... not sure why they don't use a UTC and generally 2 feeds like "everyone" else I did notice a couple of i...

Re: Cannot change channels
Its only 1 day after submission since statement of submission mentioned tomorrow... it usually takes 2-7 days after submission before one gets it. The changes that caused the issue didn't have reports of problems until 2-3 days after submission.

Re: Roku unable to change channels on HDhomerun x2
They supposedly sent it yesterday... typically things will take a day to a week before released after submitting. I believe the first report of an issue was about 2-3 days after it was announced the "bad" update was submitted.so I expect the same time frame for the fix after it was submitt...

Re: Replacing Hard Drive
The reason why you need a linux system is that the filesystem for scribe/servio/flex is xfs and even there I have had to make sure it had xfs fully supported as some distros don't handle it correctly without some components installed. The first time I did it was to move stuff off the drive and it mo...

Re: DVR is recording show but will not show in recordings
Do you happen to have another engine running? For me I often find the "recent" recordings (the top line) only updates from 1 engine, while the "all" updates from each engine so if you go into the series you will find the recording (this will also work when going into the show on ...

Re: T2 Tennis Channel
You are forgetting SD loves that, after all they brought us Premium TV which would probably still be around if it weren't for some outside pressures about it during the dispute of the "giants" vs the provider of the service to SD (I won't go into whether such dispute should have been legit...

Edit... I do expect this post to get moderated but this forum is supposed to be only about the HDHR so talks of other brands shouldn't be encouraged. They haven't got around to add ZB to the list of bad words. t@b10 is on it as well as others... tivo used to be on it but they came out with an androi...

Re: Cheapest DVR for our Prime tuner
If you have a dvr account and an engine running that is all that's typically needed (assuming cablecard and subscription from your cable company) unless you need drm support then the only thing is wmc to record protected cablecard content from a prime. If tuning clear qam from your cable provider (w...

Re: Encryption
The rules here basically state that one cannot say support will never happen... so until they state otherwise, there is no FUD allowed about it not happening. If your attitude is wanting answers, I wouldn't look for them here as until it actually happens there isn't much to mention that hasn't alrea...

Re: Upgrade to new device and maintain recording schedule
Easiest is to start the app with both devices on the network... when you click continue it adds the new device to your account. If you wish to get rid of the old device, remove it from the network start the app up again and hit the trash can next to the removed device. If you don't have the old devi...

Re: Couple of easy new user questions
The series is the series, that remains the same (other than with some revivals)... the current season setting means that (current) episode will only be presented to record (when the engine requests its orders for the next 4 hours) if the original air date was less than 90 days ago... There are two p...

Re: Couple of easy new user questions
Current season isn't actually current season, it used to be called recent which was more accurate but people couldn't figure out what recent was and actually wanted "new" which can be achieved by a different setting that isn't readily available in the app. It requires the original airing t...

Re: Outlaw Channel not Scanning
Well there is another 10.6 for outlaw that is up so unless we know which market that may not be the case but I strongly suspect it is. I seem to recall a translator/repeater for KTTC didn't repeat all the subchannels it has.

Re: hdhomerun signal App
KRCR has (virtual) 7.1 which is abc, 7.2 which is TBD, 7.3 which is comet and 20.1 which is fox (at physical 7.3, 7.4. 7.5, and 7.6) the signal strength and quality will be the same for any of those channels when tuned to physical channel 7. I believe they are also on physical channel 34 carrying (v...
