Re: Can't delete recordings old UI - (20190516beta2)

Old ui and most 3rd party apps use an http get request... new (beta) engine requires an http post request for delete and poke (required to record something coming up "soon" as otherwise one may need to wait an hour or two for the engine to pick up the recording request)

Re: Not subscribed

The way the registration (enrollment) of tuners to your account works is that all tuners must be discovered at time of registering any not found are dropped from your account. If for some reason you want to segregate your network, temporarily put them all on one network when you register (though the...

Re: Series link

That is the way the DVR is designed. It should only record one of each episode though the dvr has to have the program, or SD's servers must be told not to re-record by deleting through app. There are also some occasional guide issues that may record it again. With SD's software one can't specify a c...

Re: HDHR3-4DC changelog and ideas

Time should be utc so there is no winter/summer time and the time is in sync around the world. Logs are supposed to be there so not sure what you are asking about though i do question all the stops and starts and am surprised you are using software that accesses the tuner by rtp (such as wmc) as the...

Re: Delete Recording with 20190516beta2

Thanks jasonl, you beat me to it... I set up an engine on a windows machine that I had wireshark running, put some content there, and saw the difference after testing deleting both ways... seems strange the other requests are still gets.

Re: Factory reset

Should be no reason to... the only thing that "can" change is the lineup (even firmware can't be reverted) so if you are really picky about that, run a scan with no antenna attached. The other thing i would do if you have any service from SD (dvr) is to remove the device from your network and then "...

Re: NEW - support running multiple record engines as a pool

if i was to set RecordStreamsMax to >0 is there a way to set preferred first engine? i.e. i want to use my synology which is on the same GbE switch first I believe nickk stated it would generally use the one with most space... I can see that I also would like to set a preference and perhaps another...

Where is the record engine... if on same windows 10 machine, you may need to run the loopback fix.

Re: Protocol error

If SD's DVR is "detected" it uses it for "live" but to do so, the DVR must obtain the lineup.json from the tuners to know how to access the channels. Every hour it "discovers" tuners (so such changes should be resolved within an hour but for some reason it can take up to 2) but if it isn't "authoriz...

Re: Protocol error

Do you have the dvr installed... it can take 2 hours for it to sync up with any changes (i.e. ip addresses/channels of tuners) unless it is restarted... also if you have such installed, make sure your subscription is active.

Re: NEW - support running multiple record engines as a pool

Along such notes, instead of moving content over, is a "null" entry first in the RecordPath to indicate a storage only engine still permissible? Would it be "better" to define 0 as the max stream limit (or was 0 for no limit)?

Do all (updated) engines take into account what other engines have when it comes to determining if it has already been recorded?

Re: Movie trailer feature

I don't believe it was "axed" just that there were not as many that had them in the data... i like the idea of trailers but not the autoplay in the implementation (would rather click "trailer" and have a setting for autoplay trailers... i can understand it be on as default so people are aware traile...

Re: Switching between NAS's

As far as getting the engine working for upcoming recordings, that is all one needs to do... just make sure there is only one engine up as a recording engine. The issue is with your past content and access to it and how "temporary" the move will be. If just during the rebuild process, I probably wou...

Re: deleting - re-record, never record again? neither works

The local news is probably the best example for a test as each episode should be marked as a first airing though they are all the same episode as far as the dvr is concerned. Typically if told not to rerecord, it does not send those orders to record, however FirstAiring is supposed to always get sen...
