Re: Duplicate virtual channels UK / France

If it is that important, use software not dependent on the scan... Also I cringe whenever I see 100% strength as that can be a cause of a lot of issues as you are not sure how much above 100% it is... there is a chance that whatever you are using to boost the signal to 100% is making it that much ea...

Re: No Tuning Resolver Connected

I still think the problem is with the amp in the pedestal. Often I would agree with this but that same signal is feeding the prime which is giving a 13dBmV swing for the same frequency. Personally I don't like daisy chaining the prime through the TA, though usually on a cisco TA you can get away wi...

Re: No Tuning Resolver Connected

FDC is your OOB and is designed to work at much lower levels (I've seen it successfully work down to -20, though i do prefer if a little higher, in the old days this would never be above -1) it is your qam signal that should be between +/-10 (preferably +/-7) however if you look, your prime is repor...

Re: Trouble with ABC station in Denver

SD's software is reliant completely on the scan. What type of antenna do you have as 7 would be VHF and many antennas sold today are not meant to be used for VHF. The scan will choose the channel with higher resolution or if the "conflicts" have the same resolution, the one that it gets as better qu...

Re: Unable to access HDHomeRun on samsung tvv

Nothing to install/reinstall for that as the only thing that works on samsung is the dlna mechanism that shows the tuners as a dms and are detected by the packet sent out by the tuner at regular intervals. (The e series did have an app but that has been flaky for 5 years... quatros never had rui sup...

Re: two primes different number of channels

Such would be very rare on verizon or comcast, unlike companies that heavily rely on SDV and use of a tuning adapter. But there are a few things that can do such when no ta is involved. First is the process of loading the channels/subscription onto your card in the old days this was quite a common o...

Re: We've added DVR Playback to Roku

That is not the way such works... there are other third party go between products for that and their choice for dvr is that nearly any nas can run it... it does not require a "high end" processor required to do what you ask. SD's products don't decode anything, they simply pass the bits. A tv not on...

Re: Channel scan not picking up new channels

Any movie channel pack should have DRM on Cox (and most markets have DRM on a lot more). What I meant above about using VLC was to use it to ask the tuner to tune a channel that it didn't pick up in the scan... most likely it won't play the channel as it would be DRM. For instance (and I did test su...

Re: Copying recordings to the Servio

there is no upload capability (yet)... the only way to do what you wish is to pop the drive out of the unit and attach it to a computer (preferably linux though I believe there are somethings out there that will mount the drive on windows) then you can copy your files over. You can "download" files ...

Re: Multiple NFL Games

I wouldn't worry too much bout red dots, just make sure the rule (task) is still there (typically oneoffs re at the top, newer rules at the bottom unless you change priority)

Re: No HDHomeRun detected.

I had a hard time following the first few posts and the response to your question of "what isn't working" was even harder to follow. According to first post they were following a link after purchase (email?) to activate dvr. And getting no hdhomerun detected. The issue here was the device didn't hav...

Re: Multiple NFL Games

What I saw yesterday If you click on an individual episode (at least in tasks), it creates a oneoff and "cancels" the series however it did not cancel a team rule for what i tried it with (it did cancel other shows i tried such with) but until you leave the screen it still shows all with red dots. I...

Re: No Tuning Resolver Connected

By the way, you should probably make sure to look at the 2 rf statistics pages as (often the important one is RDC on the 2nd page). The reason I suggest looking at connectors is that often that upstream, though similar to cable modems, is often far below what the cable modem is using.

Re: "Recording End" does not stick -- UI bug

If it is a Series recording, you cannot dictate times for a single episode as the Start and End is for the entire series. The time there is meant more to select what to set it for not what it is set at. In theory one can make a oneoff but that kills your series and changes such to a oneoff (I just t...

Re: Multiple NFL Games

From what I see, this is only an issue for when one views episodes to try to view red dots... i set both 1pm (early games- i am used to east coast time convention for games) games to record, i also set all AZ Cardinals games (since that is what i get here) to record. I may need to wait a few weeks t...
