Re: FIOS Getting 'not subscribed' on HD Homerun prime cable card all of the sudden only detecting a few channels
From what i am told, half of fios is to completely lose cablecard access in the next month or so... some areas may have locals for a bit after but my understanding the majority of those areas that are losing cablecard this year will also lose all clear qam by July. The other half of fios loses ...

Re: Connecting to Flex DVR from Mac
browser might be the easiest way but you can always right a script to get such the same way which is to essentially "play" the file. The process is to get the list of series ( http://<ip-of-flex>/recorded_files.json ), which produces a list of series that look like

Re: Just lost all but a handful of Chanels
What I read somewhere was that half of Verizon would be losing all qam by July this year and the other half would be by July next year and that also mentioned a couple of months keeping the clear qam during that switch while people realize the retirement of cablecards is real and one "must" get an ...

Re: Using MAC for Storage
Multiple record engines typically use the engine with the most space.
If you are attaching external drive to a computer/nas, that is typically the RecordPath, there can be multiple locally attached directories for locations and that device records to the first location in that path, while other ...

The message wouldn't be related to firmware but the app/UI and the UI changed just a couple of days ago (but the messages appear to still be the old for android)...

Re: HDHomeRun DVR Setup for UGREEN NAS
it doesn't... any record engine can record, typically it is the one with the most free space

Re: HDHomeRun DVR Setup for UGREEN NAS
My suggestion would be to use the docker container package...
For the nas installer to see the nas, it has to be discoverable via upnp... typically this means you must have a dlna server running on the nas but these days many such packages are run in containers that may not allow ssh into the ...

Re: Cannot exit HDHomeRun app running on Galaxy S9 phone
The s9 had a hidden home button area which can be hard to use when not used to it... I finally traded mine in for a "free" s25 last year so I can't check (but I'll see if I can dig up another as i thought I had 2) but from what I recall there was an option to change that to swipe gestures that I ...

Re: Cablecard validation needed
what does the CA page of the cablecard state? Often with cisco cards, the local facility has to get involved as they are usually the only ones that have full control of the DNCS and have the original barcodes/disks that may be needed to do the proper modDhctCfg -s [MAC address] command to hit the ...

Re: St. Louis Cardinals part-time channel on Spectrum
Just to be clear, you are able to tune the channel with the prime manually and the channel does appear both on the regular lineup url and when you add the ?show=all to the lineup url.
I would suggest doing a channel scan when the channel is really on and see if it can pick it up. Typically for a ...

Re: HDHomeRun Prime with cable card can't find new channels
From what I have read, most areas of comcast FS2 (hd) are strictly iptv... there are a few areas that had an sd version delivered via qam but not the hd version (surprised they have sd versions of such). Most likely the new sports channel is iptv only (though when I checked your area listings they ...

Re: HDHomeRun Prime Detect Channels Question
I would check to see if it shows up by adding ?show=all at the end of the lineup url (may also wish to change .html to .json which would be required to see tuning info). Since you mentioned "hours" for scan, I would assume you have a TA (or HSC) which would disable the "tuning" parameter so a scan ...

Re: HDHomeRun Prime with cable card can't find new channels
Almost all new channels added would most likely be iptv rather than qam so you wouldn't get such but you may wish to list location and what channels. You might try retrieving the lineup with the ?show=all parameter and see if they get listed there, personally I like to retrieve the json rather than ...

Re: Silicondust LPTV
What does this mean to a consumer?
As far as the thread is concerned, more stations regardless of whether or not they are the ones from SD and you are within range to receive them (they are low powered after all) and in most cases have an antenna that is good for low vhf (think very large as in ...

Re: HDFX-4K Update Not Showing
The firmware doesn't really do much for a 4K unless you have the DEV upgrade or a TECH (the firmware for (some of) the DVB tuners opens up some other possibilities but still isn't generally for the regular user) as the only other thing listed is certificate upgrades but those aren't needed yet. To ...
