Re: HDHomeRun 4K is Nextgen TV Certified
If your atsc3 channels are encrypted they will not currently work with the hdhomerun and the current consumer apps (in theory there are commercial $$$$$$ apps that can possibly work). It can receive unencrypted atsc3 content as well as whatever your duo can receive.(assuming US model duo since you ...

Re: HDHomerun Flex duo transcoding or upscaling
The only HDHR device that does any transcoding is the old Extend... the DVR would use whatever default transcoding you had set on the device... the duo and quatro essentially simply pass the bits the station puts out.

Re: Two programs failed to record
If you only have a duo, and you were watching something, that would be expected with 30 minute padding if there was any pre padding on the other show as the tuners would be in use when it tries to start the next one, cutting that back a minute ir two would help. It would probably be a little more ...

Re: Android TV guide showing favorites only?
Are you referring to any favorites always being on the top of the grid guide and then all channels are listed after favorites (including the favorites again)?

Re: Installing HDHR Flex 4K also with Quattro
For the official apps, its easiest to add with both as when you launch the app it will associate the new device with the HDHomeRun DVR subscription with the already subscribed device when you launch the app (at least with most platforms).

Re: Show ATSC 3.0 broadcasts?
If the channel isn't listed, the scan didn't pick it up. You will need to check your signal levels of the physical channels of the ATSC 3 broadcasts in your area. (I believe for you that would be 24 and 31). I would suggest hdhomerun_config_gui on a windows machine to check such out. Linux might ...

Re: Show ATSC 3.0 broadcasts?
The channel lineup shows all channels it detected from the scan... the ATSC 3.0 channels will start at/above 100 as the HDHR 4K devices add 100 to the virtual channel number when ATSC 3.0 as that was the method they chose to get both channels in the lineup. You would need an ATSC 3.0 capable tuner ...

Re: What happened to live + guide? why is GUIDE button / word missing
Most other things when you bring up grid guide (or "backstage view" when coming from live) would continue play live in a reduced windows above guide. I believe the guide button on the bottom bar used to overlay guide over the currently playing video and thus also have audio (i prefer slice during ...

Re: Incorrect channel mapping - CKMI-DT Quebec City
Station names and virtual channel numbers come from the station.
By duplicates, do you mean favorites vs. all as that is the intention... favorites get listed first then all channels get listed that way those with 100+ channels still get such in order (i.e. if 10.2 were a favorite it will still ...

Re: QNAP-TS233 Setup
If you used the installer, restart the nas as that shouldn't autostart (unless wd). The installer (setup) itself only controls whether the pc is used or not... any engine that is up is fair game to be used, typically will be the one reporting the most space. Assuming all are modern engines that have ...

Re: QNAP-TS233 Setup
The my cloud was the only NAS that SD autostarted the engine from a "NAS install"... the docker container (and the even older qnap package) will autostart.
Personally I would go the container/docker route but if you just want to install, follow the linux manual install instructions .

Re: QNAP-TS233 Setup
For the "installer" to see the NAS it does so by upnp so typically one has to have a DLNA server active on the NAS to use the installer. I believe with the installer and qnap it will not autostart if the NAS reboots.

Re: Two HDHomeRun EXTEND and reserve one for Jellyfin and one of HDHomeRun
There is no reservation. The official apps detect all devices and engines on the same subnet and the device can be used by any app on the same network at any time and most apps today will use "auto" to take any available tuner from a particular device. If you want a particular device to be used ...
