Re: hdhomerun expand Network Usage

Depends too much on provider and codec used for video. Luckily for most with dvb-c it will probably be h.264 rather than mpeg2 I usually figure a max of 16Mbps if mpeg2 and 12Mbps if h.264 but usually find most providers are much lower but it can be higher (I have heard of some 1080p h.264 being as ...

Re: Changed DVR server

Where/how did you delete the record engine? Did you delete the config? I just realized on one of my WDs the engine is no longer in the share as they moved it to a more app like environment but I didn't think it did that on the very old 4tb models. Unless you also copied the config to your new setup ...

Re: H&I Untouchables

Try doing it through discover rather than tasks... but i just noticed another issue when i did it... the client wasn't seeing the recordings... what had happened was i made the directory myself and moved last weeks (7/5) into it renaming the files (note metadata isn't updated yet but is present with...

Re: H&I Untouchables

That was the fun part as I actually scheduled though the app rather than my own web page... When I went through tasks, and clicked an episode it made it a one off... but when I did it through tasks, the additional ones clicked did not turn red, but they were created but not indicating was only when ...

Re: H&I Untouchables

This week, and last week with other show names, I selected oneoffs so each recorded... I'll edit the meta data later but will have different ProgramID's than the official ones. At least the first 2 weeks were in order... next week is a little more difficult according to the schedule at handitv as th...

Re: Phoenix channel guide error

That is a guide issue and should generally be asked about in the guide issues section... since the source is the same I suggest also contacting zap2it as you will generally see the change there usually about a day before it filters down to SD's guide (though a few things may show up about the same t...

Re: The Weather Channel not Playing (Optimum)

Still makes no difference as it made the wrong request thus got nothing that could be interpreted. Until the link used actually has dtcp-ip info in it the point would be moot. The prime itself greatly limits the stream when the wrong url is used when drm is encountered. With some systems you might g...

Re: The Weather Channel not Playing (Optimum)

But the dvr would never request the drm stream when such url isn't provided. The issue here is the url didn't say it was drm, thus stream delivered failed on dvr for an unknown reason (same thing happens on a channel the dvr doesn't know about drm or not).

Re: The Weather Channel not Playing (Optimum)

Not exactly... the url of the channel still wouldn't have the dtcp-ip reference so the engine/client still wouldn't play it but they may eventually decide to check if that was reason then add the dtcp-ip part manually.

Re: The Weather Channel not Playing (Optimum)

Is the channel marked as DRM from the scan? Typically playing and stopping like that is either an indication of the card not being properly provisioned or the channel is drm but the scan didn't pick it up as such. If it didn't start playing, I would verify the frequency tuned by the box is the same ...

Re: Virtual channels and signal strength. VERY wierd, help

Describe what you mean by distribution node as when fed by fiber it is rare to need an (additional) amp as the signal is typically 4-8x stronger than what cable usually comes in at and one thing you never want to do is overpower a signal to a hdhr. In some cases the ont/onu system might have a varia...

Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine

Though I'm not sure if it is your issue on the qnap, in linux, users are typically case sensitive, particularly with things such as this and yours, as posted, didn't follow what demonrik said. There are some that always convert to lowercase when creating a user and then might do the same whenever yo...
