Re: NextPVR and DVR

They will fight. If you want to use two DVR's, you should dedicate one box to NextPVR and make sure the channels on that box are unliked in the my.hdhomerun.com UI so that tuner box looks unavailable to the HDHR DVR.

Re: No DVR detected on chromebook. Other devices fine

On chromebook your best option is probably a Plex or Emby server pointing to the HDHR DVR directory, and using the Plex or Emby webapp, to watch HDHR dvr content.

Re: deinterlacing solution

I've read that some people have had success installing KODI on AirTV. If you can get it installed and AirTV hardware can handle the load, KODI includes fairly decent software deinterlace capabilities that may help with your problem, and the HDHR add-on runs well on KODI. If you are new to KODI, be p...

Re: Install to Ubuntu should be simpler

KODI with the HDHR add-on is a great (and only viable really) option for Linux. Google how to activate the add-on, especially if you are new to KODI.

Re: Apple TV

Channels is the best. Plex is probably second best, but requires a Plex server. MrMC will work but I don't recommend it. Don't use InstaTV.

Re: HDHRBevo support issue

Did we never ask you about bitdefender or other 3rd party virus scanners? If not, that's entirely my bad. When network related issues pop up, bitdefender is the culprit a HUGE percentage of the time. Agree, Bitdefender is very aggressive. I had to switch to Avast because I couldn't make HDHR DVR wo...

Re: No DVR detected on chromebook. Other devices fine

If your Chromebook runs Android apps, you may want to install the KODI app from the Google Play store, and activate the HDHR PVR add-on. This may allow you to manage your DVR functions from your Chromebook.

Re: Apple TV app (tvOS)

Okay, the next major version of tvOS is out today. Any chance SiliconDust will finally release their own app? Here's hoping...!
Agreed. tvOS12 has made the ATV 4K the king of streaming boxes. This is now not just a nice to have, it is a need to have.

Re: Apple TV app (tvOS)

Bottom line, I'd much prefer a solution directly from SD.
Me too! Any updates on the progress towards a native Apple TV app? Waiting with baited breath!!
+1. Really looking forward to a tvOS app.

Bitdefender configuration

If you use Bitdefender anti-virus you will have problems tuning channels due to Bitdefender's process. You can use Bitdefender exclusions to resolve the problem. If you also use a Win10 server for HDHR DVR and use Bitdefender on this system, you must create the following Bitdefender exclusions to en...

Re: Apple TV app (tvOS)

So, in the meantime, is the workaround to use AirPlay from an iOS device?

Thanks!
I use Channels app for live TV and Plex for HDHR DVR recordings playback on my Apple TV.
