Re: What generation of router is needed?

Wifi 4 can work, but just barely. Wifi 5 would be a safer bet. Wifi 6 is overkill just for HDHomeRun/live TV, but might be nice if you are already going to update. What? You mean Consumer Reports isn't right? I don't need to spend money to get the latest and greatest WiFi technology? “Whether...

Re: Prioritizing Channels (1.0 vs 3.0)

After several hours of not getting a response here I did just that, and have gotten some responses.

I'm surprised this forum is so inactive. It used to be more active.

Prioritizing Channels (1.0 vs 3.0)

I'm not seeing any instructions or posts on this, so I just want to make sure I'm doing it right. Flex 4k using Channels DVR program. I'd prefer to record in ATSC 3.0, and on one channel only 3.0. So for example, Komo in Seattle 104.1 rather than 4.1, and KCPQ only 113.1. I assume I go to Channels l...

Tuner Advances and Multipath

About 14 years ago I had a local antenna guy come to my house and he did some testing and told me that I would have too much multipath interference from the trees between me and the broadcast towers. So I went with an HDHR device with Cablecard and later a Tivo with Cablecard. Now I'm a Locast refug...

Re: Channels DVR Local Channel Missing

They answered my question over on the Channels DVR forum. For those interested you go to my.hdhomerun.com, which should find your HDHR device, then click on the channels tab. There's a button there to rescan the channels and 5.1 popped up. The channel list that is available in the Channels DVR servi...

Channels DVR Local Channel Missing

Just got my new Flex 4k and everything went well, but when I go to setup the favorite channels in Channels DVR the local Seattle NBC affiliate (King TV 5.1/42) does not show up, and I can't find a way to add it. The channel list seemingly pops up from the Internet as opposed to a manual scan, but th...

Flex 4k, Missing Channel

Just got my new Flex 4k and everything went well, but when I go to setup the favorite channels in Channels DVR the local NBC affiliate (King TV 5.1/42) does not show up, and I can't find a way to add it. Also, two channels show up twice, for example the ABC channel is 4.1 and 104.1, which seem to be...
