Re: DVR Service Trial - avoid annual commitment?

I have been using the HDHomerun Duo with my Plex server for several months - for live and DVR recording thru Plex. Lately, the Plex DVR is unreliable, especially while time shifting a sporting event (watching 30 minutes behind during an active recording). Often lately, the FWD/skip ahead button doe...

Running 2 record engines and getting 2 recordings

I am running 2 record engines (WD PR2100 and on a Win 10 PC) and noticed that I have 2 recordings of Sheldon going on at the same time - using 2 different tuners. Why is this happening? Both recording engines are on systems in the same network. I have turned on diagnostics on my app. I have plenty o...

Re: TVision and Silicon Dust

Not sure on the actual service, but the hardware they also introduced is Android TV-based, so at the very least you can use one device for both their streaming service and HDHomeRun viewing. Any chance of SD partnering with TVision as a replacement for the old "premium TV" offering and as a way to ...

TVision and Silicon Dust

With T-Mobile's announcement yesterday of their OTT product TVision I was wondering if Silicon Dust DVR service might be a good fit with it as a replacement for the short lived offering with added cable channel bundles? HDHomerun DVR Service for local/antenna channels plus TVision alongside to add c...

Re: 2 Record engines but only 1 shows

Each DVR instance should show its own "HDHomeRun RECORD" box. In the debug logs it looks like the storage ID is missing from one of them, which is odd. Try uninstalling the HDHomeRun software and then reinstalling it, as the installer should re-set the storage ID. Thanks for the response. I have un...

2 Record engines but only 1 shows

I am running 2 record engines on 2 windows 10 machines but only 1 shows up in the my.hdhomerun.com page. When I log into each of the 2 windows machines and run task manager I can see the hdhomerun record tasks running on each machine. I seem to recall in the past they would each show up in their own...

Re: restricting tuners for the HD APP

One way you can do it is directly connect the tuner to the computer running MythTV or Tvheadend using a second ethernet port (such as a USB ethernet adapter). The HDHR tuner will assign itself an IP address, as will the second ethernet adapter. Then you can use the second ethernet adapter to speak ...

Re: HDHR Prime Tuners Disappear from DVR

Okay, the sparse profile of my recordings so far fooled me, I am still recording. Looks like it might be a UPnP issue between the app and the tuners? But only to the Primes and only (maybe) to wifi clients. I've got more to poke at, I guess! I am also getting the infrequent disappearance of my Prim...

That would be the only direction they could go, a streaming channel package and OTA tuners. Has there ever been an ATSC 3.0 tuner even talked about here?
Yes on ATSC 3.0. Check out hardware forum. Wish SD could partner with a Philo or someone to do a replacement for Premium.
+1!

Re: New Record This Channel Feature

Nate, Ned and rest of the SiliconDust team: Great work on this feature! May I suggest an enhancement, where it is possible to select more than one channel to record a show, or exclude some channels? Similar to discussions above, I have some shows which are being shown on multiple channels (e.g. OTA...

Re: Shield Experience 8.2 upgrade - Anybody upgrade yet?

FYI - I successfully updated my Shield Pro 2017 to 8.2 now. The DVR and app appear to be working normally. However, before doing the update and just to be safe, I first powered down the Shield, disconnected my USB DVR storage disk (configured as external storage), powered back up, did the upgrade, ...

Check this out: https://github.com/britannic/ubnt-bcast-relay It was created originally for Sonos, but it may be what you're looking for to allow broadcast packets to be forwarded across subnets. (Here's the original thread on the Ubiquiti forums: https://community.ui.com/questions/Multicast-Sonos-...

Re: HDHomeRun QUATRO 4K for ATSC 3.0

No WIFI that is for me worthless, I don't have in my living room cable internet connection as most people. I don't know what a "living room cable internet connection" is, but most people can place the HDHomeRun next to their router (in whatever room it might be in) and either use an indoor TV anten...
