Re: Ignoring tuners?

Nateb : I think some power user functions would be nice. As for the tuner hardware, I'd like to see the ability to assign static IP's and be able to save/restore the lineup (favorites and X'd out stations) for each tuner or to easily load other tuners with the same lineup. … Why not just set up the...

Re: Connecting different brands of HDTVs to HD Homerun?

There are lots of opinions on player options, but one easy/cheap choice is an Amazon FireTV Stick. With a Quatro you are limited to 4 streams at the same time. If you have more than 4 TVs that all will be watching live TV at the same time, you would need to invest in additional tuners. If you just ...

Re: HDHomerun App Never Works on Nvidia Shield TV

The only problem I have been having lately with moca is DRM as they don't seem to pass SD's app's requirement for RTT (in some homes I see see some older 1.1 devices working but I can't seem to get any of the 2.0 devices working (various brands, 2.0 only not mixed) with DRM... other apps and tv's t...

Re: The HDHomeRun Scribe Duo has been nominated for a Best of CES Award

Congratulations SD, this product definitely deserved a nomination. We aren't mad they are taking their time and perfecting it. We are mad they abandoned it for these other products, kicked it to the side, not spending time to perfect it, and then in between made a tweak or 2 here and there. They ha...

SD should at least offer replacements for dead Primes until the 6 tuner is available... Just my $0.02.

Re: HDHomerun App Never Works on Nvidia Shield TV

As an Xfinity customer you likely have coax in the room where the Nvidia Shield is already. You can connect using MOCA and provide a wired ethernet connection over the coax in the wall. Amazon sells many MOCA devices you can use. I know this does not resolve your issue but, you said wired used to wo...

Just make sure the WD MyCloud does not restart the DVR app when it reboots. Otherwise you will start getting dual recordings

Re: Best options for streaming to roku tv

If your goal is to stream native from the tuner to the Roku TV PLex runs on the Roku TV as an app, has a nice grid guide and will allow you to watch live tv - *** with a paid Plex Pass.

Simple and no box required.

Re: DVR Feature Request - Commercial Removal

Greetings. I was wondering what SD's take is on adding a Commercial Removal feature to the DVR package? Plex DVR currently does it, but not well. Plex DVR utilizes COMSKIP on the back end, and then transcodes a brand new file for replay. I realize that transcoding is beyond the scope of SD's produc...

Re: Weird Fast Forward issue

MCEBuddy isn't plug and play, but if you have some know-how it's easy enough. I mean I did it and there are a lot sharper knives in the drawer. I Note: I am using the donator Version of MCEBuddy and am doing 'Unprocessed' remuxes of the DVR material for the most part. I require H264 streams for mos...

Re: intrest poll

Neither. No longer investing in DVR equipment have 2 Primes. Same here.... plenty of equipment already (2 primes and 4 Duals plus old pre-DLNA Dual which I use on Plex's DVR since it supports it for recording and viewing). More interested in new UI and DRM recording (in that order)..... hedging my ...

Re: Best options for streaming to roku tv

Both of those are good choices - Plex gives you other options (such as remote viewing of any shows and recordings) and runs on anything but it requires setting up a server which some may find daunting. The 4K Firestick is currently having some issues per other threads on this forum which are being l...
