Re: Upstream contract dispute

It looks as if there are much bigger issues with the Premium TV product in the very near future,

Re: 6 tuner prime in 2018 ???

Really? Ask the millions of cable users! Most of them have boxes and not HDHomerun units so the cable boxes eventually will be replaced with non cable card units... it is a dying technology. I can get all my Cable Channels with a Roku also on Demand. X1 platform does not use Cable Cards. It doesn't...

Re: Will AV Sync ever be resolved?

If this forum didn't prune older posts/threads the answer for this problem could have been found very easily. It happened to me(as well as others) in the past but I don't recall what the fix was and I can't search to find it as it's no longer here. I think it had something to do with the audio setti...

Re: 6 tuner prime in 2018 ???

One possible reason for the delay in bringing the Prime 6 to market is that SD is attempting to make the device IPTV-capable as well as being a legacy CableCARD device. Otherwise, it must simply be a business decision as to whether the market for a CableCARD device is really there anymore and how la...

And not to mention that CableCARD is a dead technology.

Re: ces 2019

How about a Apple TV app, and while at it, a solution for Roku too. When the ATSC 3.0 products come out, if SiliconDust doesn't support Apple TV or Roku without 3rd party apps, I'll be moving to a different vendor. The Apple TV app would have to be awfully darn good to compete with Channels as that...

Re: New UI

It sounds like a patent issue popped up. I hope by patent you do not mean the Grid Guide as every other DVR has a grid guide. It beats me, but if you're to the point of "pretty much ready" and then have to go back to "forced us almost back to the drawing board" it could be that some underlying IP w...

Re: Some of us are actually happy

I'm one of the happy ones. But I'm using only the hardware (using Channels for DVR and viewing apps) and am not subscribed to PTV (we have enough to watch as it is). Same here, using the hardware while the software is Channels, which works really well, the commercial skip is a huge bonus with Chann...

Re: When Will New UI Be Pushed Out?

I don't see an Apple TV mentioned and you say you're the only iOS/Mac guy so does that mean the Apple TV app project is sitting on the shelf collecting dust? SD seems to have relinquished the Apple TV user market to Channels, which performs beautifully by the way. At the moment our software doesn't...

Re: When Will New UI Be Pushed Out?

On the way but no solution planned? That's a little discouraging. Is that still the case since this thread has aged a little? I'm curious as to who at Silicondust uses what hardware. Do you guys go out of your comfort zone to use other equipment beyond your test bed? Like, in your home? Definitely ...

There's not much you can do as at the present time, SiliconDust doesn't even offer a CableCARD tuner for sale.

Re: 6 tuner prime soon !!!

My **** flatlined in July and I have been waiting around for this to be available, because I really do not want to buy another ****. But being almost Nov and no official word or potentional release date other than "mid 2018", which is long past, it's looking more and more like **** will, unfortunat...
