Re: NAS Selection

I've used the Synology DS415+ with only 2gb memory and it runs HD DVR and Plex just fine for me. I've thought about upgrading the ram but see no need to though if I ever replace this with an newer version, I would. I've had this since HD DVR was first released. I also have a QNAP TS-451 with 8gb mem...

Re: Recorded playback not working

I'm pretty sure mine was working the first day or two after switching to beta but I can't be 100% sure.
Switching back works fine.

Re: Recorded playback not working

Well the Shield plays back just fine so it's only the 2 W10 machines that won't play back Recordings. Live TV is fine.
I just get a black screen, no sound either.
To my knowledge, I've done nothing new to either system.

Re: Recorded playback not working

Playback on Iphone and Ipad works fine. But W10 still does not.
I will try the Shield later. Recordings work just fine.

Recorded playback not working

For some reason, tonite all my recorded shows aren't playing back in HDHR. They recorded fine and play in other software, just not in HDHR. I've not been able to play around as I have too many shows being recorded tonite but it was working fine last night. I should have time tomorrow to check things...

Re: New UI crash

I also got this but only once so far. I was simply going from Discover to Live TV. I simply shut down HDHR and started it up and it was fine.

Re: Cox drops cable cards

We should have a forum to discuss latest Cordcutting and Cable NEWS.... a general forum would be great.
I subscribe to their email and youtube daily/weekly updates and there's lots to learn about true, cord cutting from them.

Re: Cox drops cable cards

Had a couple of replies and all said the same as this thread, FCC rules require them. If the FCC changes the rules, then..... One person said: Every Cable box has a cable card in it. (Except for Mini Boxes) SO until IPTV is 100% Cable cards aren't going anywhere. Are they still going to try to get y...

Re: Cox drops cable cards

I posted a question on the DSL forum (Cox area) and mentioned what r75 posted and most said the same thing but it looks like someone is going to inquire for their area and post back what they are told.

Re: Cox drops cable cards

Cox has 1 TB data limits. Probably right now, I wouldn't hit that limit every month as I have a small household but many, many people I know with larger families would if they were not paying for cable tv. So, if Cox took away cable cards and I wanted to cut the chord, I'd most likely go above the 1...

Re: Cox drops cable cards

Unless it has changed, the FCC requires cable companies to offer cable cards for their cable systems to allow customers to use their own equipment and not be forced to rent them from the cable company. The only way around that is if Cox went 100% streaming over the internet as streaming is not the ...

Don't worry, it is coming Soon™.
For the record, we've never promised a last channel button.
I'm not a programmer so I'm curious, is it hard to set this up? I'd bet a large amount of users would want this as well.

Nope, from what I've read, they are no longer in production and finding them will be next to impossible new. Used is about the only way you'll find them.

Re: Synology SPK for DVR Record Engine

Just curious, from a guy who has no idea how hard or time consuming it is to do these wonderful programs but would it be at all possible in the future to actually have the DRV UI package and the DVR Manager as one? I'm stoked at these programs and don't want to be ungrateful but it's just a thought.
