Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine

@Beerman
ok - it finally dawned on me what the problem you were reporting is..
i.e. you can't get to the DVR Manager web page with your browser?!

At least the engine looks like it's running, and you're getting logs and installing the binary
So it's a web server problem.

Could be your PHP ...

Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine

I did notice after I uninstalled and reinstalled that under Users, hdhomerundvr was set to 'disabled' but I enabled it and all the permissions are fine but obviously, that made no difference.

Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine

Not sure why but while my Snology HDHomeRunDVR is working superbly, my QNAP stopped working. When I try to access it, I get the error message: You don't have permission to access /HDHomeRunDVR/ on this server.

How are you trying to access

When I checked the system log, I see 3 ip address and ...

Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine

Hi demonrik
For those like myself that are not quite so savvy can you elaborate on;
IMPORTANT That change of user means you need to ensure the user has permissions to your existing recordings. Simply add the new user 'hdhomerundvr' to your recordpath share or change the RunAs user once upgraded ...

Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine

I have both a Synology and QNAP and rarely check the QNAP but I also have the exact same problem. Synology works perfect but QNAP is messed up but I never touched anything. Permissions are fine but I'll double again but it's still usable at least.

Re: NEW - support running multiple record engines as a pool

2)They have the same ID.
What did I do wrong? I'm relatively sure they had different ID's when I first installed the beta but perhaps after I installed demonrik's DVR Manager something changed?????
Try going to the NAS using Windows Explorer to open the share and deleting the hdhomerun.conf ...

Re: NEW - support running multiple record engines as a pool

I need to do a little checking about but I noticed that after installing the multiple record engines I'm getting duplicate recordings in both NAS's. I obviously did something wrong.

Go to http://my.hdhomerun.com/

1) Check that the version is 20190516beta2 (or newer) on all record engines.

2 ...

Re: NEW - support running multiple record engines as a pool

Can you choose the primary drive to record too? And, once installed, can it be set back to just one Record engine.

Re: QNAP QPKG for DVR Record Engine

I was out for a bit and things are back to normal now. I did see that post after I posted mine so I assume that's the problem I had.
Thanks for the reply.
