You weure right. I installed 609 app and no Java error screen. But, the plain black screen came up when hitting live after just starting the app.

It did work okay for a while last night, then when I turned it on this afternoon it happened...
Black screen. Cleared data and working for now ...

I reproduced a "Java exception" with the app set to start in Live TV mode.

On two yes, one no. But, I've taken them all off live start now. Also, they are all on grid mode.

The fact that it happens when you first startup the app makes me think it has something to do with the startup splash screen. But I think it happens when you hit the live button.

Same as I have. Usually happens when first going into app. Then going to live. Either blank black screen or Java error screen (black) with a list of values.

Both 607 and 606 cause reoccurring lockups on three different firesticks on entry. Keeps happening everywhere. Have to clear data to get back in.

Please disable splash screen until you can fix this. Keeps happening. Thanks

Which app version... mine pulled in 0603 and has done that and couple of times on both chromecast and old onn (home and firce stop app usually clears it rather than comlete reset... haven't seen such on devices with more ram yet. Ni j had mentioned in another thread that 0606 was out but I haven't ...

After going in to hdhomerun and getting new splash screen, device locks up. Hit home button and try again and get

Followed by a vertical list with...

The log shows the record engine storing the resume point (normal) followed by the player reporting a recv data timeout.

Just jumped to end while playing back. No FF's in the case. Marked as played fully. Thanks.

For people experiencing this, please enable "send diagnostic information" in the HDHomeRun app Settings menu, then when you next experience it skip to the end please post back with the Device ID of your HDHomeRun and the time it occurred.

Having same issue here. Consistently for quite a while. Happens when skipping through commercials and sometimes jumps to end just while viewing a recording. Usually recorded off Prime on FIOS cable. But happened off air also ATSC-1. Occurs almost every night of viewing. Have reported this before ...

Usually recording then watching current season. Series, in order.

For weekly episodic shows the plan is to keep the current handling of defaulting to the current season.

For other content we are open to tweaking the default handling.


That makes sense under Discover, but under recordings, people generally would be looking for the next recording in the series ...
