For people experiencing this, please enable "send diagnostic information" in the HDHomeRun app Settings menu, then when you next experience it skip to the end please post back with the Device ID of your HDHomeRun and the time it occurred.

I see a firmware update for 05062025 has been pushed. Is it basically identical to the last beta, just pushed as an official release? I'm a little cautious about making any changes at the moment, but I'm fine doing the install if it's just beta > official.

I agree with Jason - most likely a broadcast problem that the station fixed. We have seen this happen before where the input stage of the encoder at the broadcaster stops accepting new frames from SDI and repeats a still image.

Regardless of what happens with ATSC 3, we still desperately need a replacement for 1.0. The DVD-era encoding used as obsolete and inefficient, which means a waste of radio spectrum and everything that is recorded taking up much more space than it needs to. Unless of course you choose to re-encode ...

Thanks - problem found and fixed. The stream indicates Dolby Vision rather than HEVC for the video format.

The fix will be in the next beta release.

If you have more than one HDHomeRun replace "hdhomerun" with the device ID.
If the problem channel isn't 111.1 change this to the problem channel ...

Are you in the US watching ATSC1 antenna based TV?

We are not tracking any issues with seeking on iPad... when I test seeking is fast as expected.
