Re: 6 tuner Prime finally

It'd be really cool if someone from SiliconDust could offer a simple confirm or deny as to whether or not the 6-tuner Prime will offer x264 transcoding like the Extend. x264 is much better supported by today's popular devices (e.g. streamers, phones, tablets, etc) so I have to think that there's so...

The first round of maintenance completed.

Other servers will be restarted over the coming week that are not DVR related, or part of redundant pools so no disruption is expected.

Re: Worked great for a day now No DVR Configured error - davidmckenzie2015

Hi, The record engine isn't getting data for recording Star Trek... most likely the channel it is on it too weak to be received reliably. It is recording another show at the same time on a different channel without error. Can you please run HDHomeRun Setup (Windows) and enable "send diagnostic infor...

Re: Issues Running DVR from notebook with USB attached 1TB drive?

That should be fine for recording.

Please post the Device ID of your HDHomeRun - I will check the diagnostic log.

Re: When can we expect Win 10 Client update that is reliable?

BTW - when going through your logs I found a minor issue which has now been fixed and submitted. I don't think it is the cause of the problem you are seeing however.

Minor webservice outage planned Jan 15 - if you are up to date you won't be affected

A number of our backend webservers are being rebooted late on Jan 15 in order to pick up the recent Intel security patches. HDHomeRun App releases 20170815 (August 15 2017) and newer will not be affected by this maintenance. Informational - app releases since 20170815 pull content from a pool of red...

Re: When can we expect Win 10 Client update that is reliable?

"Protocol error" usually means a software firewall or security package is messing with things, but in this case it sometimes working doesn't quite fit. Can you please turn on "send diagnostic information" in the Win 10 app and post your Device ID again. Also let me know if you are running any third ...

Re: EyeTV drops support

I'm outraged that Geniatech would pull support with a "minor" software update. Fortunately I probably did not miss many recordings over the holiday weeks. But what's even more frustrating is that Silicondust is now trying to force me into a subscription-based model now to continue using my 2 hdhome...

Re: HDHomeRunView when vpn is running

Many VPN systems default to or can be configured to block local LAN communication - that is the first thing to check.

Can you reach the HDHomeRun device webpage from a browser on this computer with the VPN running?

Re: Win 10 Client error - Aaron

With gen4 and newer hardware it will say "All tuners in use". Looks like gen3 and older it says "Device select failed" - I will file a bug to get that message fixed.

Thanks for letting us know.

Re: Win 10 Client error - Aaron

This means your Windows 10 installation is missing one of the standard root (CA) certificates. Firefox must use its own set of root certificates rather than the Windows set. The app pulls content from our online servers to provide UI content, TV guide, images, etc. Activate the start menu and type M...

Re: Win 10 Client error - Aaron

Hi,

Can you please turn on "send diagnostic information" in the Win10 app (click near the top left corner of the video area to bring up the menu), then post back with the Device ID of your HDHomeRun.
