Re: New here, general questions

Most of those questions hint at features that most all other DVRs have. How do we know if those will be at one point built into the product? We are constantly working to improve the HDHomeRun DVR - recommend following the forum and tracking what we are doing with beta releases. Also your answer to ...

Re: NEW - support running multiple record engines as a pool

FYI - it is ok to use a local path that is shared but we don't support using a remote network share.

The key problem is monitoring for file changes which is required for operation. It will work at first but once you hit about 62 folders you hit a resource limit when using a remote share.

Re: NVIDIA Shield Recording Locations

Can the app read recording from both drives even if it record to only the biggest ?
It will read the internal + external. Not sure if it will read multiple external - will need to check.

(Android was the reason we added the ability to read from multiple paths)

Re: Multiple record engines.

A show is recorded once. The record engine that does the recording is chosen at the time.

That doesn't sound like anything the app does.

Can you please post a screenshot...

Re: New UI - Live TV automatically jumped to much earlier

My guess is there was some form of interruption where the app had to reconnect, and the reconnect resulted in it restarting from the beginning of the available buffer.

We will investigate further.

All DVR versions support POST.

Older versions accept GET or POST.
Newer versions only accept POST.

Re: Can't delete recordings old UI - (20190516beta2)

Both the release UI and the beta UI were updated prior to the record engine release.

It looks like there is a bug - it will be investigated on Monday.

Re: NEW - support running multiple record engines as a pool

Thanks, all I needed was to stop and restart the service and it gave separate ID's. Odd that even though I have my system set to show all hidden files, I can't find the config file anywhere. No worries, things look to be working like they should. Can you please run one more quick test - check the S...

Re: NEW - support running multiple record engines as a pool

While I personally would be highly unlikely to exceed 16 concurrent streams, I can easily see a robust engine environment being easily able to successfully exceed 16 concurrent streams for recording without breaking a sweat. I think the default is probably good, but the max should be considered to ...

Re: NEW - support running multiple record engines as a pool

2)They have the same ID. What did I do wrong? I'm relatively sure they had different ID's when I first installed the beta but perhaps after I installed demonrik's DVR Manager something changed????? Try going to the NAS using Windows Explorer to open the share and deleting the hdhomerun.conf file fr...

Re: NEW - support running multiple record engines as a pool

I need to do a little checking about but I noticed that after installing the multiple record engines I'm getting duplicate recordings in both NAS's. I obviously did something wrong. Go to http://my.hdhomerun.com/ 1) Check that the version is 20190516beta2 (or newer) on all record engines. 2) Click ...

Re: NEW - support running multiple record engines as a pool

Along such notes, instead of moving content over, is a "null" entry first in the RecordPath to indicate a storage only engine still permissible? Would it be "better" to define 0 as the max stream limit (or was 0 for no limit)? That is a good question. I think setting RecordStreamsMax=0 would be the...
