Re: T2 Tennis Channel
When architecting this capability, is there a plan to incorporate user oversight on internet delivered channels? For people with metered internet or security concerns, will there be a flag available for users to approve any additions or changes to the channel list that involve internet delivered ch...

Re: How to migrate DVR storage to a larger disk
Yes, but it's not well-documented on their info/wiki pages, and it requires some Linux know-how. I'm assuming a.) you meant moving from 0.5 TB (500 GB) to 2 TB and b.) you are using a USB drive plugged into your HDHomeRun. 1.) Unplug the current drive, plug in the new drive and ask the HDHomeRun to ...

Re: Upgrade to new device and maintain recording schedule
The schedule is not on a particular device, it’s in their cloud service and syncs with devices regularly. So as long as both devices are part of your account and at least one is online, you will get your recordings.

Re: How to get only starred channels to show in program guide?
You could block (red X) the channels you don't want? That's what I do with the Spanish and infomercial channels.

Re: Encryption
You may want to watch the Anntenna Man's latest video. In addition to being able watch ATSC 3.0 DRM, I think he is able to record it thanks to a recent update. Not looking to move to Za$$erbox, just hoping something from SD will provide some sort of update on their progress ??? No one is disputing ...

Re: Encryption
I don't see the proposed plans as anything different than what is posted on the first page of this thread. No one has yet offered any proof that what they're suggesting is currently possible or allowed. What you guys are reading is marketing material in the form of a "future" changelog. So...

I wouldn't put much stock in their "future plans", given the current restrictions in place.

Re: Encryption
Getting back on message, it looks like the score is now Za$$erbox one, HDHomeRun zero. The 'Antenna Man' reported on his Youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgnnMJODpoY) that the Za$$erbox M1 is now capable of recoding ATSC 3.0 video. Meanwhile, crickets from the SD team. The device is...

Re: Subwoofer in OTA ATSC 1.0?
The OSD for my Denon receiver confirms that most broadcasts I receive are in AC-3 (DD) 5.1, other than those sub-channels coming in at DD 2.0. Note that a lot of broadcast audio has been de-tuned to not do much with the LFE channel, even for movie content. I would need to turn the audio up pretty lo...

Re: Encryption
In addition to what's already been said/suggested, at 70 miles, you're right at the edge of what's possible due to the curvature of the earth. I wouldn't expect perfect signals regardless of how much effort you put into your setup. https://www.antennasdirect.com/blog/there-is-no-such-thing-as-a-150-...

Re: Encryption
The TV stations in my closest market have reduced their transmit power so much that I can no longer receive ATSC 1.0 signals at all, and only one of the ATSC 3.0 signals is being transmitted unencrypted. The ATSC signals are being transmitted at a greater power level or they are more stable here du...

Re: TV Station Launches Multiple 4K Broadcasts OTA on ATSC 1.0
That LPTV station in Eugene Oregon has been doing it since at least 2021. The only way they can do it is with 24 fps and/or slow moving content that can be compressed to less than 5 Mbps, which they can't do for actual network 4K sports broadcasts with a lot of rapid motion and camera panning. i.e....

Re: The HDFX-4K, a different perspective and why it is a good purchase..
I don't agree. Most are just re-encoding their MPEG-2 streams on the way to the towers.
