Cleaning up a bunch of low-power listings in Austin, TX
I spent some time curating all my reliable channels, and collected all the issues below. I recognize some may not be able to be resolved, and that's fine. Devices used were 10A4C0B0 and 1077341E.

17.6 - No guide listings, should be Defy

Re: When support for ATSC 3.0 DRM will be available?
Is there any consideration to making an Android dongle you could plug into the HDMI port on a single TV that could connect to the tuner to decode the DRM channels?
The Z company is attempting this, with hardware devices, and has already had the rug pulled out from under them once. I will be ...

Re: KDFW 4.1 Dallas just went DRM
I can still watch it on my Sony TV, just no way to record. At least we still have ATSC 1.0 for probably two or three more years. I don't think we will ever convince the government that the data owners don't have a right to protect their data from perfect permanent and sharable copies. We ...

Similarly and not surprising, KTBC 7.1 (Fox) in Austin, TX also just went DRM.

Re: Encryption
Until the a3sa can function as an independent entity the broadcasters are going to continue their messing-up the prospects of rolling out nextgen television aka atsc 3.0.
We gotta stop seeing A3SA as a separate org. It's just a smoke-screen. The A3SA only exists so that pedantic a**holes can ...

Re: Record ATSC 3.0 on Hisense U7
I have a Hisense U7 TV that has built in ATSC 3.0 tuner. In a recent firmware update, they added the ability to record live TV if you have a USB storage device attached. I live in Houston area and have several 3.0 broadcast stations of which some are DRM encrypted. It does not give me an option to ...

Are you looking in the HDHomeRun app or on the device's web page? It's only in the app.mooninite wrote: Sat May 31, 2025 11:30 am On my HDHR5-4K I do not see any signal strength on the channel line-up page. I have rescanned channels a few times. Nothing different. What show are you watching where you don't care which season an episode is recorded from?
All of them? I don't use my DVR as a giant data library. Any given show has somewhere between 1-5 ...
