Re: Alternative Guide

I agree wholeheartedly with FuriousGeorge. Folks at SiliconDust have said they will be looking at enhancements once they have the new UI implemented. I hope they do, because as it stands, I will keep using WMC until the day it dies.

Check now. Should be fixed.

edit: If it isn't working, it may be a cache issue. Should work after a few hours.
Still broken for me after more than eight hours. I will check again in the morning.

Re: Win10 app not seeing HDRecord, Firestick Does

Yes, the Win10 app is on the same machine as the record engine; I've searched but can't find info on exactly what the loopback fix is. I'll keep searching, but any info might have is much appreciated! You can find it in the troubleshooting section here: https://forum.silicondust.com/forum/viewtopic...

On the new UI if i go to recorded it gives me an error message like 'NO DVR configured'. Switched back to the old display and everything works perfect.
Same is happening for me today. If I turn off the new UI all is fine. They probably just broke something and haven't figured it out yet.

Re: New UI - SD tickles me

The titlecards should always contain the program name. If you find a titlecard that doesn't contain the program name (ie isn't actually a titlecard) please let us know. Nick I think you missed the point. You have to select each program in order to read the program name, one at a time. What good is ...

So the Icons are meaningless. Not having program names at the top level will not work for us The titlecards should always contain the program name. Re: Delete workflow

I'm just hoping to be able to delete stuff again on Xbox. Workflow is the least of our problems. You can't delete stuff on Xbox? What is preventing you? Correct, you can't delete stuff on Xbox. Your new UI is what is preventing us from deleting. When you highlight the trash can press the A button, ...

If I recall correctly, the Prime 6 is said to only have a 100mbps ethernet port.

Re: Notification when out of HD Space

I like the way WMC handles it. When looking at the grid guide, you see the usual red dots showing which programs will record. When you are low on space, it puts an exclamation point in the red dot, for programs that won't record in the future due to disk space. You can also view as a list all of the...

Re: Feedback on new Discover Now

Gridview is dumb, and should head out to pasture. It's simply the way it's always been and what people know and change is scary. ;) Maybe that is what SiliconDust thinks. I certainly hope not, if they want me as a customer. I want at least the functionality that I have now in WMC, and if they can p...

I assume this is a firmware of sorts.
No, not exactly. They are talking about extra hardware, a separate USB tuner that plugs into it. It is what I would call an add-on.
