Re: Sep 14th rescan day

I haven't seen those commercials here in St. Louis. So, maybe local to you?

Re: Guide and Discover appear to be down

Guide data, discover, and tasks don't work in HDHR app (on multiple clients), yet the guide data is working on Channels and Kodi, and the HDHR DVR UI can see all the rules, do searches, etc. That is because the HDHR app REQUIRES that their servers be up and functional 100% of the time. The other ap...

Dear HDHomeRun Team - please consider popularity of the LG TV / WebOS ecosystem, and provide suitable apps for this TV.

Other members, please comment here if you agree!
I agree. I asked for this ages ago, and the post is long gone now. That should tell you something. :(

Re: Corrupted Video / Audio

I believe Jason was talking about packet loss within your network. While there may have been problems with your cable connection to your house, the issue with packet loss would be a problem with the network within your house.

Re: Alternative Guide

I agree wholeheartedly with FuriousGeorge. Folks at SiliconDust have said they will be looking at enhancements once they have the new UI implemented. I hope they do, because as it stands, I will keep using WMC until the day it dies.

If I recall correctly, the Prime 6 is said to only have a 100mbps ethernet port.

Re: Feedback on new Discover Now

Gridview is dumb, and should head out to pasture. It's simply the way it's always been and what people know and change is scary. ;) Maybe that is what SiliconDust thinks. I certainly hope not, if they want me as a customer. I want at least the functionality that I have now in WMC, and if they can p...

Re: Feedback on new Discover Now

Please don't take steps back to please those who hate the software without keeping in mind those of us who have managed to successfully use the software on a regular basis. While I am one of the people that really doesn't like the existing interface, I can completely see why some folks like it. So,...

Running Win 10 app client.
When entering a channel number, it goes to the number and then goes back two channels. I.E. entering channel 264 ends up on 262.
Yep does that for me too.

Re: Feedback on new Discover Now

This is going to sound like a troll post, but I promise it's not. What you've described to me sounds like Windows gave you a broken program, and then they gave you some tools to make it less broken. Basically, "Yes, the WMC grid is terrible when you first get it, but hey, after a bunch of work, it'...

Re: Feedback on new Discover Now

I'm actually preparing a blog post about this very topic. The short answer is that grid guide does everything... but it does everything poorly. I disagree entirely. WMC has a number of things that allow you customize the grid in a variety of ways. For instance, it is easy to limit the channels to t...

Re: Feedback on new Discover Now

Is there any rhyme or reason as to how the programs are displayed? Or are they just displayed in random order? Is it SD's intent to make this the alternative to a traditional grid guide? I guess I'm just old fashioned, as I don't need pretty pictures to find things to watch. The order is based on a...
