...one device that only has a 100mbit ethernet port, and it doesn't push out enough bandwidth to support six channels at once.
If I recall correctly, the Prime 6 is said to only have a 100mbps ethernet port.

Re: Notification when out of HD Space

I like the way WMC handles it. When looking at the grid guide, you see the usual red dots showing which programs will record. When you are low on space, it puts an exclamation point in the red dot, for programs that won't record in the future due to disk space. You can also view as a list all of the...

Try going into the Logitech Options desktop app and disable smooth scrolling.

Re: Feedback on new Discover Now

Gridview is dumb, and should head out to pasture. It's simply the way it's always been and what people know and change is scary. ;) Maybe that is what SiliconDust thinks. I certainly hope not, if they want me as a customer. I want at least the functionality that I have now in WMC, and if they can p...

Re: Can ATSC 3.0 be upgraded in firmware?

I assume this is a firmware of sorts.
No, not exactly. They are talking about extra hardware, a separate USB tuner that plugs into it. It is what I would call an add-on.

Re: Feedback on new Discover Now

Please don't take steps back to please those who hate the software without keeping in mind those of us who have managed to successfully use the software on a regular basis. While I am one of the people that really doesn't like the existing interface, I can completely see why some folks like it. So,...

Re: UI Beta Release - Click for Instructions (and warnings)

Running Win 10 app client.
When entering a channel number, it goes to the number and then goes back two channels. I.E. entering channel 264 ends up on 262.
Yep does that for me too.

Re: Feedback on new Discover Now

This is going to sound like a troll post, but I promise it's not. What you've described to me sounds like Windows gave you a broken program, and then they gave you some tools to make it less broken. Basically, "Yes, the WMC grid is terrible when you first get it, but hey, after a bunch of work, it'...

Re: Feedback on new Discover Now

I'm actually preparing a blog post about this very topic. The short answer is that grid guide does everything... but it does everything poorly. I disagree entirely. WMC has a number of things that allow you customize the grid in a variety of ways. For instance, it is easy to limit the channels to t...

Re: Feedback on new Discover Now

Is there any rhyme or reason as to how the programs are displayed? Or are they just displayed in random order? Is it SD's intent to make this the alternative to a traditional grid guide? I guess I'm just old fashioned, as I don't need pretty pictures to find things to watch. The order is based on a...

Re: Cannot Access Beta UI

If you haven't tried it today, my guess is it will just work when you try again. Yesterday, there was definitely something funky going on. I just gave it time and it worked fine today when I tried it.

Re: Cannot Access Beta UI

You have turned on "Early access to new features", correct? Other than that, I don't think there is anything else you have to do. I just did it on one of my Xbox One's and it immediately restarted and displayed the welcome dialog.

Re: Sinclair Planning to Rollout ATSC 3.0 this year

My HDHR's are inside my network behind the firewall. There is no listener open on the firewall, so any connections to the HDHR will only originate with the HDHR itself. So, I'm not concerned with someone sending commands to them, besides even if they could do as you say, I'm sure no one is interest...
