I have never understood people not wanting beta firmware... in the 5-6 times a firmware upgrade has messed me up all have been release versions including a release just a few days after a beta was released which completely crippled me for a few days until another beta was released to fix the proble...

Update Record Engine.....that is a software that can be upgraded.

No add-ons present. so I went to youtube and searched kodi on Linux mint. that's when I discovered you had to install the kodi repositories, then it showed up.. my point was that there are thousands of resources at your fingerti...

There is not a native app for Linux; support for Linux is through the Kodi add-on. I see. Especially since this is a paid, for profit, software and devices. That could be debated. The software is free. Anyone can download and install it. What you 'pay for' is the DVR service and TV Guide data. :roll: Anyone can downloaded it, but not anyone can use it. ...you have to pay for the SD hard...

Hi, The HDHomeRun was originally designed to work with MyhtTV on Linux. Windows support came later. We fully support Linux using MythTV as the DVR, using the HDHomeRun DVR backend for Linux, and using the Kodi front end for the HDHomeRun DVR on Linux.
