Re: NAS Setup - Manual Install - HDHomerun Not Finding Tuners Nor Recordings

I have a similar unresolved situation, but on a NAS device not a router, here: https://forum.silicondust.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=119&t=71184 I have an open support ticket and SD have responded - I've added that discussion in the above link. Unfortunately the DVR app is not running stably on my NAS...

Re: EyeTV dead for me

+1 I've been trying to continue using EyeTV but it's getting harder and harder (dropped HDHomeRun support, TV Guide subscription broken, occasional Mac OS panics during recording). I'm happy to now have a SiliconDust DVR install working and making recordings with its television guide. I'd like to of...

Re: my.hdhomerun.com on different computers gives different status

Thanks for this helpful post, debugged in two steps: 1. I re-used an existing static IP in my router for the new NAS (which hosts the DVR record app). I forgot this static IP address goes through a VPN in the router rules => I updated the router rules so that this NAS static IP does not use the VPN ...

my.hdhomerun.com on different computers gives different status

I'm running a new install of DVR record on a NAS unit (WD EX2 Ultra) - Day 2. Yesterday I uninstalled DVR record from a Mac Mini on the same network. My network has one router. On the same network, I'm seeing different status reports with my.hdhomerun.com on different computing devices. Mac Mini: fi...

Re: Two DVR installs - what happens?

The answer to my second question is in the original subscription email from SiliconDust: "When you get your receipt, it will include a link to activate your DVR."
Thanks - all good on this post.

Re: Two DVR installs - what happens?

Thanks signcarver - very clear.

I found the instructions for the "storage only" engine in this post: viewtopic.php?f=126&t=65204

So if I change my HDHomeRun tuner device, I'm guessing I have to register the new HW device with SiliconDust DVR service?

Two DVR installs - what happens?

This partly relates to my post for a Seagate NAS install: https://forum.silicondust.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=119&t=71184 If my network has two DVR installs, say one on a Mac Mini hard drive and another on a NAS drive, what happens? For instance are the tasks managed somewhere else - and allocated t...

Re: Seagate Personal Cloud (NAS) - anyone tried a Linux install

Support ask: what is the output of 'uname -a' (without quotes) when SSHed in to the NAS?

Code: Select all

Seagate Personal Cloud (NAS) - anyone tried a Linux install

Plucking up courage to try an install of the HDHomeRun Linux version onto my Personal Cloud NAS (1-bay version) - has anyone tried this? https://www.seagate.com/manuals/network-storage/seagate-personal-cloud/ Second question: currently my HDHomeRun DVR is installed on a Mac Mini computer. If I setup...
